Contrary to popular belief, there are nice areas of Baton Rouge. The last three coaches haven't had problems winning championships there.

I always wonder if the people who rip Baton Rouge have problems with its large Black population in North Baton Rouge, etc and maybe live in lily white Gated communities, grew up in Country clubs, lots of divorce parents and daddy's trophy wife banging the pool boy.

.......

BUT, LSU HAS MORE UP SIDE THAN ANYWHERE FOR A COACH.

-Tons of talent on roster already, not starting from scratch and great class coming in.
- Recruits itself; only big school in TALENT RICH state.
- Best environment and crowd in the world to play in front of.
- Not afraid to spend money.
- Facilities are excellent.
- Food don't get any better.

- AND BEST OF ALL, EVERY HC in the past 20 years has earned and won a NC and 2 of them were bad HC's.

Oh ok, well thanks for clarifying it is due to the cities politics.

Of course, I was talking about the fans of other teams that are saying O is glad he is not living in Baton Rouge. Just a conjecture of what might be their reasons for saying that, etc.

One person stated because of the cities liberal politics, ok, fair enough, that person clarified his thoughts.

Like I said I clearly stated I wondered what the reasons are, etc and made my own conjectures as to the reasons.

Joe Biden unveiled a new plan to combat violent crime in 15 American cities and counties, including Baton Rouge.

Baton Rouge — the second-smallest jurisdiction in the lineup — has rarely seen that level of national attention. But its homicide rate trends among the highest on the list, less than a decimal point below top-ranking Baltimore, according to an Advocate analysis of recent crime data.

Well the mayor of Baton Rouge has handcuffed the police somewhat since the Sterling case a few years back, and that is the consequence. But that crime is largely gang/drug related and I would say Baton Rouge has not gotten to the level of Austin, Seattle, Portland, Chicago where Defunding the police has happened. That is there is no police presence at all and criminals are running and ruling areas of territory in those cities.

But to turn around and then tie that to say that is something everyone in Baton Rouge is involved with or supports is nonsense. Hell I think even the Mayor of Baton Rouge, as liberal as she is, finally realized that 80% or so of the Black community (her major voting constituency) is not for police defunding.

Why the hell does politics have to get into everything. Baton Rouge has its good points and has its problem areas that need work like every other community of its size.

From what I read it was more about his off the field distractions, chasing to much tail (allegedly including the wife of a university official), and losing touch with the more woke ideals of his players. The administration felt that was all creating too much distraction along with losing 3 games this year. Apparently Coach O knew it after losing to Kentucky.

Bama wins games with a Dem Coach.

I'll give you that they've accelerated the demise of BR though. Screw JBE and Broome.

Last 20 years.

Tell us how many bad LSU HCs won NCs in the 100 years before that?

I don’t get you’re point, LSU has 4 total. 3 since 2000. No other school besides Alabama can say that
