LSU-Bama game Saturday had a 3.7 rating on CBS, down 38% from last yr, down 41% from 2015 (6.3), and the lowest for the rivalry since 2006.

Turning the rivalry back to the Shula years. Pathetic.

It shouldn’t be the prime time game. It doesn’t even need to be a focal point of either teams’ seasons. I’m so over Alabama. Just needs to be treated like another game so the program and fanbase can recover

I’d rather watch Georgia/Auburn in prime time tbh

I figured the ratings from this game would be way down, partly because of the amazing slate of games on Saturday.

Hopefully this opens up the possibility of the LSU/Alabama game being moved from the primetime CBS slot.

I think Auburn/Georgia would be a good one. It's only one week later in the season.

I don't think they'd want to wait until the Iron Bowl to do the primetime game. People are going to watch the frick out of that game anyways.

Alabama doesn't really play any other games that could warrant the primetime spot besides Auburn and LSU. I guess Georgia/LSU could be considered for next year.

People are bored with Bama. Their games aren't competitive or fun to watch.

I've only tuned in one regular-season Bama game in like the last four years, and that's only because I love to watch FSU get crushed.

LSU wanted championships. Now, they settled for a close game. I'm really starting to believe that Saban has destroyed the SEC.

It's probably some Alabama boredom, but the fact that it's LSU has something to do with it.

LSU is pretty well known for being boring to watch on offense, the new offensive coordinator notwithstanding. People are bored watching the same smash mouth football that ends in a 14 point Alabama victory.

Honestly, it would probably serve them better to rotate the primetime game. Alabama/LSU in even years (when it's in Baton Rouge), and Georgia/Auburn in odd years (when it's in Auburn).

Considering Alabama owns LSU over the past decade or so, and Georgia owns Auburn over the last decade or so, it would make a lot of sense to have LSU and Auburn in primetime when they're at home and have a better chance to win.

I envision a conference room table surrounded by a half dozen CBS execs who all look like Verne Lundquist, still thinking this game is a big deal.

Past it’s prime.

Next year they need to promote it better. Get that Movie trailer voice guy to say " Watch an LSU player knock out Alabama's best player with his dick" or something.

A 21 point spread on a game will never garner a lot of national attention.

Would you rather watch a USC - Cal game that's a 21 point spread, or a USC - Washington game that's a 3 point spread?

Sorry, but it is not "Bama fatigue", it's the lack of competition fatigue.

This game has needed to be moved for a while. The Saban angle was cute but good Lord, nobody watches this game anymore. Shite, I left with 10 minutes to play. If I'd been at home I'd flipped over to another game.

Let's go with aubie and georgia for a while. I hate getting home at fugn 2 am anyway.

I guess people don't care if the #2 team wins or loses that much.
