25% are played in our backyard also.
FWIW, I think Miami and UCLA have the biggest advantages since they play their home games at the Orange Bowl and Rose Bowl sites.

No they didn't. Tickets were given out 50/50.
Sounds like an OU fan crying about playing UF in south FL.

I'd rather have all LSU fans as refs so we would never be holding and LSU fans setting the schedule so we always got the easiest draw out of the East opponents.

We had to play Georgia 3 times in the SEC Championship. No point in complaining about it.

Nope. The challenge of a road or neutral site game is not the ratio of fans in the stands or which state it's in. The challenge is the disruption of routine. You're not at home, not around your normal every-day acquaintences and places. That challenge exists any time you have to travel and stay overnight (or for a week or so, in the case of bowl games).
Consider the difference in LSU having to play in New Orleans and Miami, USC, UCLA, etc. getting to play in their home towns, or even their home stadia. That's a home field advantage.
And, of course, even if it were an advantage, there's still the issue of whether it's "unfair". Is it unfair that Georgia gets to play in the SECCG in Atlanta? The games are played where they are played. If Gumps want the NC game in Birmingham, let 'em bid for it and see how that goes.

This is the biggest load of Bullshite I've ever heard. What does a Gump have to complain about the last 4 years anyways?
USC gets Rose Bowl in backyard. Miami has won how many titles at the Orange Bowl? Georgia in Atlanta for SEC Championship?
Is he going to complain if the NY Giants make it to Superbowl next year?
Tell him to stfu. Bama fans are freakin spoiled rotten. I live among them and they're worse in person.

Have you ever been to a big/BCS game...?
Each participating team gets X number of tickets {sugar bowl is 17,000 or so for each team}. The rest of the tickets are held by bowl patrons{season ticket holders}, bowl comittee and various travelm promoters. This si true of all big games...they don't simply give each team 1/2 of the tickets to sell....

Its dumb. It has to be played somewhere.
It's just mere, lucky coincidence.

I think we crush Ohio State no matter the venue. The Oklahoma game may have been closer at a different venue but then again it was LSU's first appearance in a long long time so I bet the fans would have travelled in droves. The 2011 one obviously wasn't that big of an advantage...

Why do Aggies even think they have a voice on here ?

It's a complete coincidence.

It could be said that Alabama had an unfair rematch advantage. No team that won a regular season matchup which was then pitted against that same opponent with a National Title on the line in the postseason in CFB History has ever won.
Ever.

Agreed. I think it was 60/40 for OU and OSU and at best 50/50 for Bama. I think Bama may have had more.
I was there 1/9/12. It was 60/40 LSU. It just seemed like more Bama because LSU fans didn't make a peep after the first few drives.
Probably because we were getting nauseated from the Skoal, Copenhagen, Detergent, Charmin, Teabag, and Ben Gay smells.

He said team that won the first matchup never won the rematch later in the year in college football. Would have to look at facts to say EVER but he gets the point across
