LSU needs a QB
We actually need an offensive line. Then a QB. Bama has the formula. Line play first.

In Tua’s family his dad makes the decision on where they go to school. It how they do it in their culture. His brother is committed to bama and that’s where he will go. They believe in honoring their commitments.

Not all recruits will take the groupie route to Bama. Some kids aren’t afraid of competition, and want to be a part of something different instead of riding the pine for 1 or 2 years. Bama will always get the best of the best, but LSU will got some horses too.

The recruits were probably told up front by staff that they were going to lose.

45 of the best HS players LSU could find watch them get embarrassed. LSU practically recruited them for Bama last night. Saban thanks you.

That's not really how it works.

They probably had a great time and found out that LSU is a great place to be.

We were humiliated on a national stage last night. It sticks in the craw of the hot blooded Frenchmen in the south part of the state. They are hungover and not taking it well today.

I don’t know. If I was a QB recruit I wouldn’t want to go to Bama after that game but I would see an opportunity at LSU.

Yeah. As I said, a lot of factors. Not sure LSU helped themselves on that specific one, though. How many times was Burrow sacked or hurried yesterday? QB recruits notice this even when fans don't, and judging by the posts today, even the fans across the board noticed the o-line problems.

Saban: You have my respect, LSU. When I'm done, half of your recruits will be mine. I hope they remember you.

This is dumbest shite y'all say. Do you know what kind of balls it takes to sign with Bama and know there is a chance you might never play. Najee Harris the #1 running back is still 3rd string. Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry didn't start until his 3rd year. Butkus winner and #1 MLB Rueben Foster didn't start until his 3rd year.
There is nothing easy about that.

There is no helicopter ride to the the top of the mountain. Every kid that signs with Bama is courageous as hell and wants to compete against the best.

You have to beat out talented upperclassmen and hold off talented new recruits all with the championship or bust pressure every single year.

It's easy to sign with LSU where it's easy to be a 3 and done player and go to the NFL. There is no expectation to actually win or accomplish anything.

Good post. Might clarify though. Bama is no longer on top of the mountain. Bama IS the mountain.

All quite correct, except I disagree with your final paragraph. Both routes have their opportunities for courage and determination, just in different ways. Nobody signs with LSU over Bama believing that'll be the best way to get the NFL's attention, after all.

I don't know... kids are fickle and Coach O is meme generator. Nice fella and a decent coach, but not an elite coach and he gets made fun of alot. If you met Coach O and then met Coach Saban I think Saban beats that battle off the field.

Additionally, Tua made an interesting comment on an ESPN interview yesterday... he said that his Dad "made the decision for him to go to Bama and that it was a cultural thing." So, apparently his father may make that decision on where the boys will play because its cultural for polynesian fathers to be a primary decision maker for their kids. Would you want your son to get beat up at LSU or protected at Bama? Both brothers have careers in the NFL.

O says "beating Alabama is why you come to LSU" ... and they haven't done that in 8 years and counting.
Forget beating them. They have trouble just scoring.

Even the last time LSU beat Bama, they didn't score a touchdown. Since then they've been shut out by Bama 3 times and have never scored more than 17 points.

It's actually a great way to deliver a message.

Come join us to defeat the Dynasty.

Look how many starters Bama has that aren't from the State.

Sort of like your fanbase?

Saban is a fricking wizard to get HS kids into Tuscaloosa.

For you corndogs talking about Taulia. HIs family moved to Bama to allow the entire family to be close. They even have extended family here as well.

I doubt they would want to have to split loyalties to two SEC schools and have to decide which one to go support. If Lia went to Red Stick the family would have to pick up roots and relocate again. Don't see if happening guys.
