You need to fire your coach first and find a damn good replacement. Those aren’t easy to find

Y’all can do what Mizzou did and build one worse than the old one but put a bunch of luxury stuff in there so it’s free.

Maybe not worse, views are way better. Nowhere near the character though.

I'm not convinced McMahon is the guy, but the team improved to .500 in SEC play this year in his second season. It's not time to fire him.

LSU getting new arena within 4 years
Is the state of Louisiana still hemorrhaging population?

No, actually the state population loss slowed down significantly in 2023 compared with 2022, and the population is projected to stay neutral and then increase over the next few years.
Though the state lost population from 2017-2023 (with 2021 and 2022 the largest), it actually gained population every year but one in the 25-year period from 1991 to 2016,and has recorded 108 years of population increases since 1900, more than most states.

Consider that may be due to those that could leave in fact have and now the problems that are left will continue to multiply their ignorance.

So, you personally took a poll now did you
????????????????

What 'problems'??? The state of Louisiana:
-Economy has outperformed most states since before the pandemic,
-Has one of the healthiest tourism industries on the planet,
-Has one 3 of the largest ports in the world,
-Ports that supply good and products and food to the entire country
-Has instituted public school education reforms including charter schools, private school vouchers, and raises for teachers.
-Has elected a governor who will continue public school education advancement and get tough on inner city crime.
-La. private and parochial (Catholic) schools ALREADY compare with any in the United States, and send their graduates to every prestigious university in America.
-provides agricultural products such as rice, coffee, sugar, etc to the entire nation.
-Has one of the top 5 museums in the world, and the grandest fine dining establishment districts on the planet.

Perhaps similar private equity financing, but different than Texas.

The Moody Center was a cooperative effort between UT, the city of Austin, and private equity.

Baton Rouge endorsing one entity (LSU) over another and openly restricting competition is different.

Government intervention to influence public spending at a private venue for the benefit of an LSU Athletic affiliate.

"Same as it ever was."

LSU Arena

quote:

The Metro Council voted to approve a motion that will pave the way for the storied 'LSU arena' — a $300M entertainment structure funded by the Tiger Athletic Foundation (TAF).

The project needed the council’s support to move forward to restrict events held at the Raising Cane’s River Center for up to thirty years. Developers did not want competition. Live music and entertainment events at the River Center will be limited to no more than 3,500 attendees. The LSU arena is expected to have more than 15,000+ seats.

Also a part of the private-public partnership agreement is to build a new hotel on the River Center.

Not everyone who spoke up was on board with the stadium.

The reason people aren’t coming has nothing to do with a bigger stadium,” one speaker said in opposition to the motion.

Others said the vote happened too suddenly and the public wasn’t well enough informed on what the project would entail, though they weren’t necessarily opposed to the development.

Wednesday the council voted 10 to 1, with Councilmember Darryl Hurst abstaining and District 2 Metro Councilmember Chauna Banks in opposition. Since the start of the project Banks said she was not in favor of a new arena. Instead Banks said the River Center, a city controlled structure, deserved more attention. She also says the project was exclusive from other city stakeholders like Southern University. In rapid succession, she questioned developer Charles Landry on whether the arena’s proposal is legally sound.

When Alabama builds an arena it will be the university who pays for it.

And I’m sure it’ll be a nice little building. It won’t look and function like what LSU and Texas will have.

So, you're going to use a tarp to hide your empty seats, just like Texas. How very Baylor of you.
