The best way to describe Guice is that he is Tyrann Mathieu to Fournette's Patrick Peterson.

extremely unique running style

LMAO, L5U fans are such Homers. Guide while good isn't proven enough to say he'd start for all these SEC trams. He'd be 3rd at Bama.

50 carries for 400 yards , big whoop. He got to get those garbage time stats when the game was over, except for the USCJR game who was pitiful vs the run last year.

Yet L5U fans would have everyone believe he was shredding the first team Elite SEC defenses.

He mayou turn out to be very good when he is the feature back for L5U. But to say he'd start at every SEC school sans L5U, UGA and UT is just blatant Bah Bah Homer sheep BS spewed by the vocal sunshine pumper L5U fans.

6 is coming.

Big guy, good feet, better moves than Fournette but lacks the burst LF has. He may be the second best RB LSU has had since Kevin Faulk.

Very hard to bring down, has a strong desire to gain every inch he can. Really good balance and speed for his size.

he has more carries than your top two backs.

i'd say he's more proven than them

There aren't words to describe just how ironic this is.

400 yards

That's more than Bama's entire core, combined, for their careers.

To unpack this argument against Guice: Guice is unproven because he doesn't have meaningful carries

Alabama starter career attempts: 18

Guice is every bit as hard to bring down as Fournette is. May not have the top end speed of Fournette, but has better vision and can cut on a dime, reminds me of a bigger faster Dalton Hilliard. If Fournette gets hurt, Guice will be a household name. As far as 3rd string at Bama, Scarborough would be chasing Darrel Williams for 3rd string carries at LSU, thats reality.

He has a unique scary looking style. Almost appears he will fumble or get injured on every attempt. The only comparison I can make, is that he runs like the cartoon character: Tasmanian Devil.

Lets be honest and not jump into the blind homerism as well. Guice and Scarbrough would probably be getting similar carries. I do think Guice would definitely be the opening touch, though.

You run for 8.5 YPC in the SEC with 50+ carries, you can be "productive" in the NFL.

People scoff at that but Alfred Blue was an NFL starter last year and I can't think of one LSU fan would would take Blue over Guice right now.

WG, you don't understand. Guice tore up incredible defenses like A&M, Texas Tech, Western Kentucky, and South Carolina.

He is obviously better than guys Samaje Perine and Royce Freeman.

there's what, 120 1A teams? 1% of that would be 1.2.

He doesn't start for his own team, and he wouldn't start for UGA either. You don't even have to look past the SEC to disprove that statement.

I think what we have here is a misunderstanding between hyperbole and basic math

there's no misunderstanding at all. If it was hyperbole, then that's the end of that. If he was serious, he was dead wrong.

It's one or the other.

I know, fortunately he played vs those teams 2nd teamers when the games where almost over otherwise he might have hurt their normal starters. Just think how much worse those teams would've been afterwards.

The sunshine pumping by L5u fans are legend.
