LSU fans: what’s it feel like knowing it’s only down from here?

I don’t even mean this as a troll question. You’ve just witnessed what will probably be the best LSU team of all time and arguably the greatest season of all time.

You’ll probably never experience anything like it again. How do you feel about that?

At this point, I never see a UF team topping 2008.

If it's down from "best CFB team ever," then it feels great.

I wouldn't consider another national championship as "a step down."

Get your point, prolly never see 60 touchdown passes again. But I'm good....

I think someone will eventually throw for more than 60 TDs. But, I doubt they do it in the SEC and/or vs a schedule like LSU played last season.

I've thought about this some. I think knowing it literally could NEVER be better as a college football fan to have savored and experienced what I did in 2019, I will likely not be so emotionally wrapped up in the sport/team and not hold on to it as much. This will probably do wonders for my health

I think at this point with O at the helm, as long as it seems he is doing his level best to lead a top tier program then I will just enjoy the wins that are coming to us and not get so angry/mad at the losses. Of course, it would be fantastic to win more championships and I think we will but I am already sated for at least 3-5 years.

What kind of negative turd do you have to be to find a down side to that? Do you not take a trip to a dream destination because you don't want to be sad the last day before you return? What kind of pussy thinks like that?

I saw it and enjoyed the frick out of it. Looking ahead it's anything but inconceivable that they will play for another Championship in the foreseeable future. LSU is a proven winner beyond any reasonable doubt.

I agree but I wonder if it will take another down period for you to truly start appreciating the highs again. Like this past season for Florida wasn’t great or anything but it started to be a fun again. Whereas 10+ years ago it would’ve been frustrating losing to our two best opponents.

People are leaving the state of Louisiana in droves.
I'm not sure how they afford to keep paying players when the economy is going to start declining bigly.

I expect more championships so I’m happy with the way our program is going.

It's like the day after you honeymooned with your new rich Trophy wife. It'll take a while to wipe the smile off our faces. You're just reminding us. Thanks

I will be happy knowing that I was fortunate enough to witness it in my lifetime and excited about the future of our program from here on out. I know we are going to win more national titles, but the fun is that you never know which season it will be. The pursuit of titles will keep me going, and the fact that the greatest cfb team of all time happened to play for LSU, with the best cfb qb of all time to this point. It's not all downhill from here though, lol. This is LSU. We expect to win titles. We should compete for titles every year. I'm very excited for the future and what it holds for LSU. Geaux Fightin' Tigers.
