Why would an LSU booster use LSU players to launder money from a hospital charity? I don't understand the process here.
I am not saying this is an LSU deal, I am just trying to understand why any rich person would need or use college athletes to launder money? What in the laundering scheme required those pieces vs say a shell corporation for instance?

I think this is the appropriate answer and since Saban was the Head Coach when Davey was here he must of directed all of this. Damn that sucks for Saban.

Actually, I did read it. Seems like perhaps you didn't. Davey's family only gave back part the money. They apparently kept about $44,000 for themselves. So was this more than just Funes laundering money into his own account? Was that the fee the Daveys collected for their part in the operation? Or was it to settle an outstanding commitment made to get Davey to LSU in the first place?
There part in the scheme. Did had been gone 10 years by the time this happened. Why in the frick would a school pay someone a decade after leaving?
