I think people were just assuming it was going to be a troll thread when they saw the script A. People don't take the time to read anymore.

O built this team and if you pay attention to recruiting then you’ll see he’s still building

Well, he has a good roster now, recruiting is on point, the financial resources are there, the commitment to technology and analytics is way ahead of the game, the fan base is strong and united, the branding is elite and has never been higher...

So sure, the future looks bright. We basically now have a guy that is now a National Champion AND a lifetime LSU superfan who is coaching more for love than money and more for the glory of his state than himself. But look, we play you guys, Auburn and Florida every year as well as aggressively schedule home and home OOC games. So there will be ups and downs. I think we stay in the conversation and punch it out for playoff spots more years than not. But I don't see anything less than a championship a failure either. Life in the SEC WEST is a tough gig.

Well as Bama knows...it is hard to win all the time.....the SEC will get more competitive but LSU will continue to win its share much like Bama....the Bama fans may spend more time than usual talking about the good old days...it will not be easy for Bama anymore especially if they play a top ten team now and then.

And still won the national title after a 15-0 perfect season.

I think Coach O has changed the culture of football at LSU. He understands and appreciates the value of his assistant coaches. He allows them to do the job they were hired to do. In that, you have Joe Brady and Ensminger lighting it up every week and Aranda kicking the crap out of 3 straight top 10 teams to end the year. I don’t expect to win CFP titles every year. However, he is a monster recruiter and is not afraid to give people a change to prove themselves. I see him fielding a good team every year.

No argument from me. Changing the culture is critical and he was just the man to do it for LSU. CEO is not just an an acronym. It’s what he is. Best sign of a great coach.

he knows how to hire and delegate, which so many HCs don’t know how to do (Malzahn). Will be a fun 2020 season.

I think he will have LSU in playoff / natty contention for years to come, because:

- hires elite assistant coaches and delegates

- pays his coaches well

- creates an enjoyable, satisfying, gratifying, work environment for his coaches and staff (unlike you know who)

- coaches & staff wants to stick around and put in the work

- his players LOVE him

- awesome recruiter and talent evaluator

- he sincerely LOVES his job and LSU. Its where he wants to be

- he's a damn good man, good character that surrounds himself with others that are experts

ETA: HE EMBRACES CHANGE

This was a troll thread. We have won 3 national titles with 3 different head coaches in the last 17 years. LSU will be able to piece together good to great runs regularly. I love when “everyone” says a drop off next year. Well no shite Sherlock! We damn near set every record there is on offense! Obviously that doesn’t happen every year! It won’t be hard to recruit players or coaches since we have won with 3 totally different coaching staffs and under 2 different Athletic Directors

Here's another question.

Saban is looking old, tired and deflated. After the rest of the west starts to pass him by (getting trolled by Kiffin, outschemed by the Pirate, Gus' annual job saving win over Bama and the man from Larose wrecking his psyche) will Bama find another savior of the Tide or are you back to a Shula type hire?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Who knows how much more he can accomplish. Seems to be trending in the right direction.

CEO has shown he is a great judge of coaching and player talent. This year will also produce a notch up in recruiting. Joe Brady hanging around 1-2 years more would/will be a huge deal.

I suspect the Tigers are honestly back in the elite circle for the longer term.

This year was actually not a fluke......

It absolutely was not. I’ve posted the link to the Washington Post article about O growing up in Larose, LA and how those people are my people and how much I admire where he came from. You’re just insecure with a short fuse and hatred for anybody with a script A avi. Those 8 straight losses did a number on you. Sad little fella.
