They played a great game. As did Ole Miss. It happens. Still can enjoy three championships in my lifetime. How about you?

Oh. So you’re saying that those past championships are irrelevant to this season?

Absolutely. Still enjoy them though.

Kind of like a CFP run.

Delusion at its finest but you might best Texas. They are terrible and doubt it would even be an upset

He’s coaching like he’s scared of the job. He’s second guessing being aggressive cuz if it bakfires, it might make him look like he doesn’t know how to handle a blue blood program. When at OM (no offense), he could be aggressive and could fall back on “that’s how we have to call it to win.” At LSU he doesn’t have tha excuse because he’s “supposed” to have the dogs to beat people straight up.

The reality is that he lost probably the 2 players that he could least afford to lose in Green and Weeks, his QB is a walking turnover, and his OL is Swiss cheese. He needs to coach like he has a deficit in talent cuz he does.

You say he's delusional and then admit he may be right, in the same sentence.

Incredible.

That sounds a lot like living in the past as a form of coping with the present.

Don’t you enjoy the past? I have good memories about LSU football championships during my lifetime. How about you and Ole Miss? Anything interesting?

We’re circling back to asking what the past has to do with the present. Going 2-1 in the CFP didn’t prevent us from getting our asses handed to in the swamp.

You sound very “feelings” driven.

Do it! That would be the coolest thing an LSU fan has ever done here. Wear a GoPro and live-stream it. I bet SEC Rant admin could set up a special, temporary group just so everyone could watch you.

Ole' TigerLunatik would go out a legend and would never be forgotten on SEC Rant, I can personally guarantee you that. We will keep your memory alive.

If sig. files were still permissible here, I would even use your avatar as my .sig file for an entire year in your remembrance.

Honestly, when they showed Kiffin on the sidelines, it looked like he had been banging co-eds until 6:00 a.m. before the game. Just looked out of it.

Think his ex wife wanted him out of Oxford and now the pressure of LSU
has gotten to him.

I will say that Lane's aggression slowed down during his time at Ole Miss. A lot of it is predicated on how comfortable he is with his defense and kicker. When Ole Miss' defense struggled, he was much more aggressive. If he's comfortable with his defenses, he's more likely to punt it.

I don't think it's a pressure thing.

The pressure seems to be building. I think he'll find the investment and fanfare around him at LSU will bring a different level of expectations that he probably hasn't had since USC as a HC.

It has seemed off.

I’ve viewed Kiffin as very high-functioning autistic for a few years (not that there’s anything wrong with that). What many people see as socially awkward and detached can also be signs of neurodivergence. The laser focus on football, cerebral and heady, emotionless, ignoring social norms.

If that’s the case, who knows what the pressure and demands of being the head coach at LSU might do to a man.

Something feels off about Kiffin this year. His energy, coaching decisions, and general demeanor dont match what he is known for and its leaking into yalls success. I actually think he has the ability to do good things for yall but either he has to get back to who he is or LSU admin needs to let him.

Lane may be weird, but he isn't stupid. He knew what he had and what he didn't have coming into the season. He's not rolling those dice because he doesn't have a lot of confidence in the QB. He had Corral, Dart, and Chambliss at Ole Miss--all NFL-caliber QBs. He knows he doesn't have that in Leavitt.
