I know about two former Southwest Conference (SWC) teams but no Southwestern Athletic Conference (the one with Grambling and Southern) teams.

To be honest, my thoughts on this have changed within the past year. I was pretty pissed when everything originally went down. However since Saban is going to have an overwhelming grip on the West for another 5 years or so maybe this is better. O is gonna recruit fairly well, keep good assistants, win 8 games a year, and we can buy some time between now and the time when the typical cycle of college football regenerates. It's not the best hand to play (obviously), but it's the hand we're dealt.

I agree and was glad when Chavis left. He is a good coach but not a great coach. Both at Tennessee and LSU the talent he had to work with made him look better than he was. At TAMU he was exposed.

10 or so weeks till signing day. He'll close a top 10 class, and 2019 looks to be very promising. The sky isn't falling just yet.

Texas A&M Record = 7-5, Sumlim fired at end of season, but team is bowl eligible.
Ole Miss Record = 6-6, awaiting NCAA sanctions, ineligible for bowl game

Am I jealous of these universities, their frustrated fans, their questions on recruiting & player development, their acquiring new coaches cause their previous new coaches sucked? Naw, I'm good.
