He hasn’t played all year. He’s too much up Creed’s arse to play football. He was soft at Neville and softer at LSU. He’ll wind up at Cincinnati and get Burrow retired. He’s too soft for the NFL. Sorry but he’ll always be Neville scum.

That yellow helmet is sacred. It’s tradition and it’s our brand. Imagine if Ford started putting a bow tie on the front of their trucks with the word “Ford” on it - let alone it be in any color but blue? Imagine Chevy putting a blue oval with the word “Chevy” on it? There’d be lawsuits and trademark infringements galore. But more importantly ultimately those casual observers (the ones we all advertise to) would get confused.

^spot on. And also frick Brian Kelly if he’s getting us off brand.

Trust me I’ve been chewing and frothing at the mouth. Only a dumbass loses three times the same way. And I will slowly have my torch and pitchfork ready even sooner if he doesn’t fire House. All I’m saying is we really ought to give him 2 more years.

Those done with Kelly

I saw a thread that got whacked, and I had written a reply, but as a poster child for Negatigers, let me say this:

Some coaches just rub you the wrong way. Les Miles pissed me off in 2005. I never could stand him.

I hated Cholly Mac. I liked but never loved Stovall. I loved Arnsparger, but was neutral on Archer then slowly disliked him. I hated Hallman moments after his first game.

Then DiNardo came. I liked the hire and was pretty much happy with him. The issue was that he had a disconnect with his players in that he was too cerebral for the team (they just had Hallman). Then it got to where the players were telling the coach they wouldn’t play for him. (Talking QB controversies back then).

Along comes Saban and I wasn’t sold on that hire either. I soon realized quickly that he ruled with an iron fist - and that earned me a lot of respect. Although he got us a Natty in his 4th season, I really was skeptical of his process. Until then I really couldn’t understand why we replaced Gerry with Nick, but I definitely saw the difference and finally understood his process.

In fairness to Leslie, it only took him 4 years also to give us a Natty and he had serious mental health issues.

Hell dumbass Orgeron had 4 seasons himself to get us there.

I’m quick to hate a coach (I’m even somewhat fairly certain I may even not care for Kelly), HOWEVER, even I’m giving him 2 more seasons before I hate him. And that says a lot. If a dumbass hothead negatiger like myself can do this, anyone can.

My honest spitball assessment is Kelly is a Gerry DiNardo 2.0. I really hope I’m wrong. Just don’t pull the plug on BK just yet who knows, he might prove you and me wrong and turn out yo be a Saban 2.0.

Sunshine pumpers. I hate ‘em.
Pure nostalgia - ‘89 Chevy 1500 SWB 2WD with a 350 and a 5-speed manual. Hyper tech chip (before tuners). Cold air intake (translated for 1989 meant turn the air cleaner cover upside down. Would walk a Mustang GT in the quarter, but you never raced the Mustang LX which was lighter.
Lots of fun times.

Reality - purchased a ‘93 similar to above and it ran like dog shite compared to todays standards. Traded it off after a year. That above truck in 1989 was a bad mother but cars sucked back then comparatively speaking. shite my wife’s grocery getting V6 Mom wagon will run 15’s.

- best though I have to say was my new F150 with the Coyote.

You get what you give bucko. Hog fans are insufferable IMO, but you can always change our minds. The way we get treated up there is directly proportional to how y’all get treated here.

Stop by tailgate and eat Pork. It’s What’s for Dinner!
I would say it is pretty good now with technology etc., but the early- mid 80’s were awesome. We’d park in the grass over by the track stadium off of Nicholson. My old man had one of those conversion vans with a TV in it. You could spin it around and watch an early game (local broadcast only). The smell of bourbon and kids throwing footballs, the pre-game was on the radio so about half the parking lot had the radio on the same station. Then the other 1/2 had fun music going.

It wasn’t as much of a production as it is now, it was a bit simpler. But the fundamentals were there … booze, food, and football.

I still tailgate over in that vicinity - a little closer on the concrete. It costs almost as much as my season tickets now. My old man won’t come anymore … he prefers a/c and 4K HD TV. But it’s fun.

Throwing oranges from the old Upper. Fog was so thick you could cut a hole in it like Scooby Doo. Not all the oranges made it to the field due to lack of visibility but what a hell of a night! Still most fun night in Tiger Stadium. Last year’s Bama game was second.
Imagine if there was a shot to take to immediately end drug addiction like meth or fentanyl, etc. Would we come on here telling the addicts to just use willpower and lay off the drugs?

I stopped smoking one day years ago by not lighting one up ever again. Yet I’ve got friends who still to this day can’t put them down.

It’s almost like people just want to bitch about fatties for the sake of bitching about fatties since any other group they bitch about is taboo.
Surely his name by now is Minimum Johnson?
I’m too old to want to squish up in a bar with a bunch of drunks BUT back in the 90’s Louisiana had some awesome spots:

Bear Creek Steakhouse
Texas Club
Cowboys - Lafayette
Denim & Diamonds - Shreveport
Honky Tonk - Monroe
Fools Gold - Alexandria

re: Clue Les Miles Back in News

I’ve said since day one he was a bad human being. I’ve never liked him from his loss to Tennessee onward. We won a Championship IN SPITE OF HIM. We played for a National Championship IN SPITE OF HIM. We lost BECAUSE OF HIM. I could sense he was a bad person not long into his career and when I met him I got a greaseball vibe (think used car salesman). So I decided to hate him. Plain and simple and I would be remiss not to comment just how much I hate Les Miles!
Came on here just to say, Fukc Ohio Damn State!”

I’m not a Wolverine fan, but Go Blue and Maize I hope you Bucknut, i dotting, Sloopy singing bunch of red wearing weirdos gets blown out - again.

Had to go to Dodge City for work. Made the mistake of staying at the hotel across the road from the Excel Packing plant in the Winter time. It was pretty bad.

Absolute worst though was Summer in Louisiana. One of our cows died and I found it a few days later. Disgusting smell.

Cedar Creek is not a good school administratively speaking. Then they let Middleton come back. Not a fan of Middleton - he coached my kid at another school - just an opportunist. He wins where he goes just not a fan.

Go Ruston!!

re: 1997 Independence Bowl

I remember it well. I had broken my leg earlier in the season and had to sell my season tickets. Oh how I missed Section 421 so for Christmas my Grandma had gotten me tickets to the I-Bowl. I had gotten my cast off my leg the day before so I was so excited to go.

During those days out in the boondocks we didn’t have a pizza place, and during my convalesce, I had longed for one thing pizza.

I wasn’t an OT Baller in those days, so I think I had like $17 bucks on me when I went to the game. And lo and behold there it was … Pizza. In the stands.

Now keep in mind it was snowing/winter precipitation In Shreveport that day and I was a wee bit unsteady on my newly healed leg.

As I got to my seat, I was trying to maneuver my crippled self along with my hot coco and my big slice of Italian Pie.

Then it happened. The ice caused my good leg to slide and my newly castless leg started to strain. I was about to fall and in my desperation of spilling my hot coco and scalding someone, I had to let the pizza fly so I could steady myself.

For a brief moment, the slice levitated there in the air like it was acquiring a target and then like a heat seeking missile, it attacked this fellow wearing a brand new Starter Style jacket.

The team had gold on, beat the Irish, and brought some semblance of magic back. But I sometimes wonder whatever became of the young man and his Starter jacket.
The Aggies can kiss my arse! Making cups with the score of their multiple overtime win.

They aren’t the damn military. Just takes ROTC way too damn far. Good for them I guess. But by in large they are just an annoying creepy cult.

I think SW stuck A&M with Jimbo so LSU and that mother Frickin Alleva wouldn’t/couldn’t hire him. SW knew he was coming here so his parting gift was frickin A&M with an ACC also-ran.
