Problem is LSU is next to the ghetto. Years ago it was a nice place but just like every democratic run city the hood rats have taken over.

The shooter is 16 years old. He’s not even old enough to finish high school!

This was my first time attending a game in Death Valley in a while. Living in Texas, I usually make it to a couple of games each year, but since my daughters are heavily involved in softball and volleyball, my Saturdays are busy. I brought my family down for the South Carolina game because my daughter is interested in attending LSU.
I was embarrassed by what I saw on display Saturday night: Trump LSU jerseys, underage kids walking around drinking, marijuana smoke in the air as if it were legal, and a couple of individuals resembling meth users roaming the stadium like zombies. The disrespect from fans loudly chanting "STTDB" around children, especially my girls, was unsettling. Additionally, I should mention the violence surrounding the campus.
Being from Louisiana, I'm somewhat accustomed to this behavior, but my daughters are not from Louisiana but love the culture. My daughter that wants to attend LSU were pointing out the boys with sagging pants and the overwhelming weed smoke was loud. It's safe to say that my daughter will not be attending LSU after high school. We have several universities in the city and throughout the state that we feel more comfortable sending them to.

On Saturday, two people were shot on Highland Road near LSU’s campus during the Tigers’ homecoming celebration. A 16-year-old is accused of shooting the 18-year-old and 19-year-old victims.
In a separate shooting, a man reportedly shot himself in the leg near the ROTC building an hour before the game.
On Sept. 13, a car was also reportedly shot after a fight broke out near the LSU Law Center.
People out there smoking weed ain't trying to have to exert any energy to shoot people. We just can't have fun anymore.

That campus is the equivalent of a septic tank in the middle of a toxic waste dump. Just an all around shite hole over there.

Pretty sure that includes North BR, far from campus, that is very ghetto.
Of course there is a good sized hood north of campus, president street names type.

So their solution is to bust people for weed and taking away their 2nd amendment rights?
I don't think it's going to work. Probably great for making people think you are doing something, but the drug war is a losing strategy.

This is just a lie. From what I’ve been told by older folk in Baton Rouge, it was fantastic to live in the 80s there. Had a great music scene too.
A string of bad leaders, lack of investment and most important Katrina migration have really done the city in.
At this rate BR will eventually be as bad as Jackson.
