They are no longer top dog. They are bottom half of SEC this year and haven’t been that great for a couple years.

We have some things to work out that I think will come to pass, but I am here to tell you our pitching is probably the deepest I have seen in the past 10-15 years.

Win a National Championship then come talk to us. I know it’s frustrating but hang in there. Before you die State will probably win one.

Y'all are 4-3 so far this year, with losses to Indiana, Nicholls, and Eastern Illinois.

I don't think a little attitude adjustment would necessarily be a bad think for a good amount of LSU fans right now.

Regardless of that we still have a sick pitching staff. We have been tinkering with our line up a ton due to youth but have a lot of potential. Go ahead and don’t worry about the Tigahs . No one is going to want to face Henry/Marceaux.

Yet they will still find some way to beat State.

I guess it's at least great being on the top of the mountain at some point than never being there at all

They are young, they'll play themselves into form.

That having been said I don't expect them to win the SEC this year. OJT in the SEC for youngsters can be a steep hill to climb. My guess is they drop a few more series than they would be happy with at the start of SEC play and then get things going at the very end of the year. They lose in a Super Regional, likely against another SEC team since the NCAA loves to put the weenie to us in that regard, and return a lot of hard earned experience next year when they could be very dangerous.

Vandy is still the team to beat until someone dethrones them this year. Some teams do poorly in nonconference for some reason but come alive once conference begins.

I like my teams chances of a top seed and getting back to Omaha for a third straight year. But I believe we don't have the elite pitching or depth to win it. I could be wrong but it is too early in the season to really know.

Most LSU fans will agree with this. (All but the most blatant and dysfunctional mediocrity accepting Sunshine Pumping Lumps)
