They would immediately lose $75 million in SEC distribution. No media company out there would pay anywhere near this for LSU. Notre Dame has a far larger following and has an exclusive deal with NBC for $50 million. Add to that the fact that LSU would have to shop around for games and it could really kill their budget. They would slowly fade into obscurity.

Big 12 is a good fit for them. Them and Tech could clownshow each other year after year.

The Big 12 also outlawed rostering pro players.

Dude, the entire conference just sued LSU in federal court, not because of the pro players, but for the allegation that LSU sought out pro players to sue the NCAA and SEC. At best, at this point, LSU get suspended for a year or two.

LSU had a net athletic fund of like 500k … They would have to eliminate most of their sports to stay competitive in football.

They and Tech would rule the Big Twelve. It is a natural fit

Maybe they just want out of the sec but instead of riling up the fan base by leaving they manufacture this whole “the world is against us” scheme to get kicked out.

Hmm. How would this affect Will Wade's ability to make strong-arse offers?

It would be really nice if membership in the SEC was required for national relevance.

The SEC couldn’t afford to do that and still pay schools like yours.

Do you realize the SEC would lose at least $75M until they could work a replacement in 2 or 3 years?

Is Ole Miss operating at a budget surplus? They’d be in trouble too.

Who would LSU be able to schedule? You would have to pay schools like Memphis to play against you. I'm sure these types of games would be ratings gold for games on the CW network.

Apparently nobody in the B1G or SEC would be on LSU's schedule. Good luck with that

Those aren't the allegations. You didn't read the complaint, did you?
