Both have been on par with Alabama for close to 20 years with a few off years from LSU,

We haven’t had the big uglies. Go look at Alabama’s OL haul last cycle. They basically got 5 guys that would fight for playing time right now on our team. And they are all
Solidly backups for them.

Orgeron has addressed the D Line recruiting finally, and hopefully with our new OL line coach we can address that too.

Tennessee would do the same if it could. Instead, their program was killed by LSU in 2001. Then in 2007 LSU dug up the corpse and scorched the rest of the remains just to make sure it was dead.

And so ended the sad story of Tennessee football.

Look, I get you're fresh into the SEC talk now, but Bama isn't going anywhere. If I were you I would refrain from talking on the rant until you are actually a part of the SEC.

LSU is closer in coaching to Bama than UGA is to Bama. Coach Bowl Cut can't help but get blown out by Ed Orgeron every time they play.

It all depends on where you are stockpiling the elite talent and how they are developed.

LSU has not been consistent recruiting OL and DL. DL has improved the last couple years and they should see improvement on the field this year. OL has been more sporadic. QB has been the other area that we've had trouble and with Miles gone and the change to a modern offense QBs see LSU as a better landing spot.

Now we just need to stabilize the coaching staff. We have a new OC and DC as well as position coaches so they need to produce to keep recruiting at a high level.

UGA spends all its money on players but goes cheap on staff and facilities. The coordinators and staff are not championship caliber (and neither was CMR or Kirby). It’s a weird dynamic. And they are a decade behind the elite in facilities, always playing it safe and settling.

UGA staff
Kirby- 0 head coach experience, learning as he went
DC Lanning- a GA and position coach made DC with no experience.
OC Monken- a journeyman WR coach that’s never held a position more than 3 years.
ST Cochran- a very good S&C guy with no coaching experience
WR Hankton- no experience above D3 at any position as a coach
DB Addea- 5 years split between Va Tech and WVa
TE Hartley- a GA
OL Luke- the veteran of the staff
RB McGee- only experience was at GaSouthern.
LB Schumann- no on the field experience prior to UGA
DL Scott- only other gig was at UNC a couple of years
A low cost staff with promises of facilities. Great, relatable young guys but very limited in actual coaches.

I follow recruiting pretty extensively and LSU and Georgia are killing it. I think this will cause imcreased parity with Bama. It wouldn’t shock me if Bama isn’t quite as dominant as years past. Anyone agree? Disagree?

I would argue that Georgia and LSU have the best recruiting advantages in the nation and that Alabama's success is in large part due to being in between them, geographically. It's nothing new.

All the teams that are used to paying players under the table, should do just fine paying them above it.

No you don’t. UGA has recruited at a high level and haven’t done squat. LSU recruitment is significantly lower than UGA and Bama overall. They bought 1 good team. Neither are on BAMAs level.

UGA is just too cheap to be champions. LSU lacks the common sense to pull off what Bama does.

Nomination for dumbest post of the year?

Have you followed recruiting the past 10+ years? LSU and UGA have always "killed it," but ALabama has still finished #1 almost every season since Saban has ben the coach

LSU had one great year then back to getting smoked by bama year after year.

We had some qb issues and a completely new offensive staff a year ago.

I would currently rather be us than lsu.

Bama has been light years better than both as it pertains to overall roster management over the past 10 years. We may catch them this year, maybe.

Nice. Another insult. Have you looked at your teams recruiting, quality depth and position need?Have you looked Bama’s? Have you identified a weakness on your team? Bama’s? I didn’t think so Mr T-Shirt fan

Yes, that is exactly why he got hired. Les saw Bama transition to 3-4 and so he hired Aranda to do the same. Problem is Les never saw Bama transition to a modern offense! LSU started to recruit big body dlinemen and just did not look for what I call the Tyson Jackson/Glenn Dorsey type DL.

Les wanted Aranda and Alleva said no after Chevas left for A&M. They hired Kevin Steele at a discount. Les being Les gave Steele a hard time and he quit. He hired Aranda after he almost got fired, the promptly got fired the next year. The Alleva bungled the Herman hire and we had to settle for CEO and his championship binder; he never actually read the binder. Ultimate result, the greatest college football team in the history of college football. Who would have guessed it, you never know what road will lead you to narvana.
