What about sale/sell?

“I’m having a garage sell this weekend”
“I’m going to sale my boat”

Smh….

John C. Hodges, head of the English Department and namesake of Hodges Library, produced the first Harbrace College Handbook in 1941. It became one of the best-known and most-purchased writing and grammar guides published in the United States.

The standard grammar handbook for College English classes was developed by an English Professor from the University of Tennessee.

On a slight twist- grammarians can meet me at Sonic. The phrase should be ‘all of the sudden’ not ‘all of a sudden’ - don’t care and will offer proof.

Proof: it just sounds better and more logical to my brain

I wish people would stop fricking up the word "jive" as in "the math doesn't jive." The word you are looking for is "jibe" ffs.
