re: Looking at Kentucky's schedule they could legitimately go 11-1

I think it's possible.
Florida
LSU
Georgia
Miss State
will be the big challenge to that. I think it's possible to beat Florida and LSU, Georgia might be difficult in Athens, and who knows what MSU that you get.

Conference should change its name to SEC (West) and SECjr (East)

Shouldn't it just be Bama and SEC East?

Kentucky so good at Footbaw. Now show us your trophy case

I highly doubt this. Missouri is not an elite team by any measure so they haven’t even gotten to tougher parts of the schedule. They probably finish 9-3 or so because they aren’t strong enough to have a game off. They should be competitive in most games though

Based upon his logic, yes.

Kentucky can come up with the most ingenious ways to blow a football game.
No way do they beat Florida. Florida can give them the game and they won't take it.

It really is amazing to see. I just hope we don't do it too many times this season

I was there. It was both sad and hilarious. As a long suffering UK football fan, when they gave the gatorade bath to Morris with 40 seconds left, I turned to my friend I was sitting with and said "you watch, we will somehow lose this game".
As I sat and watched us lose, but our fans climb the goal posts not knowing what happened on the other end of the field, I just said "yes, this is Kentucky football".
It was the beginning of the Saban run to immortality, so both LSU and Bama have us to thank for that.

You’re not wrong. But the last time we came to Starkville we hadn’t yet put Lynn Bowden at QB and we didn’t have a QB. Weird spot that year. Most think if we play Lynn at QB we win that game. Miss st had been better than us but that has changed in the last 3 or 4 years. No excuse for him to lose that game.
"No excuses" is probably a strong way to put it. I mean State isn't Vandy (at least I don't think they are). They just dominated a solid NC State team and have a legit chance of starting 3-0 against a fairly difficult non-conference schedule. You can make a case for them being able to beat LSU next week as well. Offensively still a work in progress but Zach Arnett is an excellent DC and State should be one of the better defenses in the league this year.
I was at that 2019 game and I remember UK having a terrible gameplan. They were gashing State on the ground and decided to throw it 40-50 times instead. The game in Lexington last year was, in my opinion, the low point for Leach so far. State basically doubled up UK in total yards and still lost by three TD's. 6 interceptions will do that.
So both teams have a game in the last couple of years that they feel probably should have gone differently. In a series where the home team has dominated the last five years and Kentucky hasn't won at Davis Wade in forever, I have a hard time seeing this as anything other than a toss-up game, and State may end up being favored.

Woaaaah there. Let's not let a few wins go to our heads.

That 2019 gamewas one of the most infuriating games I’ve ever suffered through. Hard to believe we still had a chance to win that game in the 4th.

I want to say you guys were playing with an injured backup QB, correct? I know Wilson was already out for the year by that point and I seem to remember the next guy playing hurt too. State for sure benefitted from not having to deal with the Bowden offense. Heck I remember him even giving us problems at WR that day too.
But as I mentioned, you can make a similar argument for State in 2020. Once State made the switch from Costello to Rogers they were far less turnover prone and in general much more competitive. Went from scoring 30 points in the whole month of October to playing Georgia and Ole Miss down to the wire and blowing out a solid Mizzou team.

Much like 2018, if UK beats UF, then the sky’s the limit.
