Great story and I was familiar w this as well. Apparently he really agonized over the decision and I knew tried to turn it over to God, but I either didn’t hear or don’t remember the part about getting up in the middle of the night to pee being the clincher. Classic

Some modifiers would be useful here. Did he PAY the $10 mil or was he PAID $10 mil?

The way you wrote that we can't tell.

But that's about what we'd expect from a degree from Texas...

I am old enough to watch Earl play for both teams. He was one of the few players to run through defenders not around them. I guess it is because he started his career at Texas as a fullback because of Rosy Leaks?

The funny thing about this "story" is that it gets told both ways...

Sometimes it gets told that if he "slept through the night" he was going to Texas... and if he "got up to pee" he was going to OU...

And of course he slept through the night and that was a sign for him to go to Texas.

The reason I know this is one of Switzer's funniest lines is that he once said that "If he knew Earl's decision was based on whether he got up to pee or not... he (Switzer) would have been down there in Tyler.... beating on Earl's bedroom window all night long"

Another classic quip fromBum Phillips highlighting Campbell's unmatched status on the field was:"I don't know if he's in a class by himself, but I do know that when that class gets together, it sure don't take long to call the roll."

Met him at a Texas Sports Hall of Fame dinner where he was inducted. I thanked him for all the years growing up as an Oilers fan that prepared me for being a Aggie later.

1) A degree from Texas is one of the best public universities you can receive in America and I’m sure you know that already you are just trolling or a hater.

2) I question your intellect if you truly believe Earl Campbell paid Netflix $10M to produce and show a documentary about his story. It’s pretty obvious Netflix signed a contract with Earl for the rights to his story.

Yeah, maybe. Maybe not.

Hey. I didn't write the sentence. All I was doing was pointing out that the way it was written, the reader couldn't tell which of the two possibilities it was. That's HIGH SCHOOL freshman English. If that's what texas degree gets you, then my first point in this point stands.
