Longhorn fans: Stop trying to convince Gumps it was a safety. They will never agree.

This is the same fan base that still vehemently denies that this was an interception:

I think Alabama has done pretty well against LSU since that game no matter if that was a pick or not.

You still would've lost that game. An int on the 35 does nothing for you considering all you did that entire quarter was go 3-and-out

It was a safety.

So the roughing penalty, which isn’t reviewable, should have stood and Alabama should have gotten the ball 1st & 10.

Big 12 refs suck.

Do a slow motion gif instead of an image AFTER Julio touched the ball first while out of bounds making it an incomplete pass.

What this thread really shows is that no amount of explaining will ever cause LSU fans to believe anything other than the refs are the reason they lose football games. Because it's absolutely impossible that the other team was just better.

Even in games where the thing they complain about wouldn't have given them a win.

Alabama has bought the refs in 10 of the past 11 games.

Edit: Almost forgot the best one. According to LSU fans, Alabama not only buys the refs directly in the LSU vs Alabama games, but they also bought the refs in another game in order to get Devin White ejected for the 1st half of the game in Alabama.

They even bought billboards and put them up in B'ham.

The delusion of LSU fans has no limit.

Agreed. They should just admit the refs gave them the game and be happy. But they won’t. Sad. And ignorant. And willfully blind. Not a good look.

Literally the dumbest conclusion anyone could reach.

Alabama - 15 penalties for 100 yards
Texas - 5 penalties for 30 yards

Bama fans are completely incapable of taking any accountability for their shortcomings.

It’s why, to this day, they still make injury excuses as if losing by 14+ points in Indy wasn’t a complete beat down and that a few wide receivers who couldn’t even make it past the 4th string in Ohio States depth chart wouldve made a difference.

Let’s be real, a lot of Bama fans live in Alabama, so if they were capable of taking accountability for their shortcomings, they wouldn’t find themselves stuck in a 3rd world impoverished cesspool that is the laughing stock of the entire nation known as Alabama.

Now that you bring it up: it's hilarious they keep to this narrative, but ridicule Texas fans for bringing up COlt McCoy's injury in the NC Game.

Hypocrites, the whole lot of them.

You are an idiot. The crime situation in Atlanta is a national embarrassment. If you want to talk about cesspools and shortcomings why don’t you start right there. I wouldn’t be putting down any other place when the City of Atlanta is located in the state I live in. Georgia can’t even vote without screwing that up.

As far as admitting shortcomings at Indy this past January I would say Bama had plenty. The injury situation did matter in that game. Those 2 WR you are talking about had just absolutely roasted Georgia a month prior. That game was a total beat down. UGA had no shot at winning the SEC title game but Bama had its chances to win the Natty. They just didn’t execute in the red zone. Also we played both games with 1 true RB. All the others on scholarship at the time was injured. Bama had a converted WR and LB as B Robs backups. B Rob was beat to death and played hurt in the SECCG and I don’t think he was very healthy in either CFP games but healed enough and stepped up. I’m pretty sure we had a DB out in both games too.

If Georgia had beat Bama in the SECCG and then played again in the Natty and won again you could make a great argument that Bama fans was using injury as an excuse. Since Metchie was out of the Natty game and then Williams going out early in that game it totally changed things. Georgia wasn’t playing against the same team that just smoked them earlier. It changed how the Game was played because the UGA D could just stack the box and play run. The best pass catchers Bama had in that game was a couple of cancers that whined about playing time all year and didn’t step up in the big game when they had a chance to shine. Bama still had its chances and the game was really closer than the final score indicated. Forget the other injuries and just put Metchie and Willams back on the field. Do you think both those guys wouldn’t have made a huge difference in that game? Considering what both those guys did to that all star historic Georgia D a month earlier I think they would have made a huge difference and it’s an ignorant shortcoming you have not to admit it.

Look Georgia hit the lottery last year and won the damn title so what’s the problem you have? Enjoy it!!! Georgia played a good game and Bama didn’t step up when they had a chance. They deserved to get beat for playing so poorly. It happens in sports. Every great team is going to lose games at some point. If you do not think those 2 WR would have not made a difference in that game though you are a bigger idiot than you have shown yourself to be with the comment you just made.
