I have never said once on any board that we will. Do we have a chance yes and yes it has to do with our jersey and our name. Right or wrong it just the lay of the land currently.
Every year in November chaos happens so of course there is a chance. I am fine with whatever happens and content if we play OU in the Sugar as I have seen predicted. This is one of Saban's worse defenses ever. I have also stated since September OSU is the best team in the country.

These scenarios get laid out every year but yet a team seems to get in every year that many though would or should not. We also heard this before our rematch in 2012.
Again not saying it is fair but when you have the pedigree that UA does people that make decisions seem to overlook maybe the things that make the most sense. UA has twice been given the mulligan and both times won the NC.

If any of the above 5 conferences start really losing then BAMA cake walks in. The season is far from over and LSU still needs to beat Ole Miss and a very good Texas A&M team and win the title game. Bama needs to beat a very good and capable rival Auburn team. Ohio State needs to go undefeated or Minn. Clemson should win out. Oklahoma or Baylor need to win out. Oregon needs to win out. Georgia needs to win out

We get in if Saban wants. Y’all forget we are college football. The committee knows this and will act accordingly. They know if they cross us they are done. Bama is the only reason the sport is even popular. Don’t forget that you and your program are nothing and always will be nothing. Enjoy your 5 point win

Personally I think it would be completely unjust to put us in over 1 loss Baylor/Utah/OU/Oregon and most Bama fans seem to agree. But it’s not too crazy to say that Baylor and OU split their matchup and the PAC cannibalizes itself. Then the committee has no choice

It comes down to two things. Do we LSU fans wanna be part of a playoff with the 4 best teams or 3 good teams and one team on blowout alert because we want Bama’s image to further suffer by not getting in.

Oklahoma will have a conference championship and 4 wins over ranked teams.

Oregon’s gonna have 2 top 25 wins and a top 10 win.
Bama lost at home, will maybe have a top 25 win depending on how auburn finishes and you played out of division:
Tennessee, South Carolina, Duke, New Mexico State, Southern Miss and Western Carolina.
The committee not gonna punish Oregon for going on the road and playing in a big time P5 matchup and Oklahoma’s resume is too strong.
LSU ended your season. There’s always next year.

Bama will be 4 or 5 in the rankings this week and then slip down as the 1 loss conference champions emerge. Will end up 6 or 7.

Yea OU goes to Baylor and to Okie State. Baylor has OU and Texas in Waco. Then the Big 12 championship. I think there is a decent shot we get what we need there
The PAC-12 is a waaaay bigger long shot. Oregon losing in Tempe is the only one that feels remotely plausible. But if it happened, Oregon would have a 50/50 shot to beat Utah in the championship.
Like you said unlikely but at least we can have rooting interests around the country. In the end, if a Bama fan can’t enjoy an 11-1 season, a sugar bowl appearance, and a chance to finish in the top-5, then they should probably find another sport
