Didn't he tell both kids parents that he would be there?

Honestly shite like this is why early signing day has got to go.
The current system completely fricks every single school that loses it's coach.
It needs to go back to February so that new staffs have a chance to hold together some semblance of a recruiting class.

The Sooners may have more skins on the wall as of late but USC is a bigger destination job than OU.

He's from bumfrick west Texas. He doesn't fit. Idk why he picked that dumpster of a state to move to but it wasn't because that's just his only option.

They say this OU alumni guy has stated he’d give up his Dr. Pepper Sheriff gig and give head coaching at OU a try.

OP: "Lincoln Riley just fricked OU big time".
On a positive note, one additional reason to enjoy USCw's continuing decline.

This is why you don't follow a guy on Twitter and run around telling everyone it's a done deal, until it's official.

We don’t want a guy who will lie right to your face and that’s what Riley did he didn’t even tell his boss till 1 he before announcement . Yes it will sting in recruiting and yes we are going to be losing elite offensive talent . Oklahoma always rebounds under the current regime . No one even heard of Riley till Bob Stoops found him: He chose to take a easier job with less stress he wanted no sort of Sec and that was probably the sole reason he left . It wasn’t money ans it sure wasn’t becuase his disliked his bosses . OU will get someone great .

Better get the perfect fit who can salvage some recruiting. Coming into the SEC with even less talent and the wrong coach could be devastating to your program. It's probably going to be even if you do those things. You guys are stupid for letting Texas talk you into this. Could have sat and been kings of the B12 for another few decades. Instead you will be just another face in the crowd in the SEC.

Nah, I have a gut feeling that once it's all said and done OU might end up coming out of this on top... provided you make the right hire.
We will. And then we will start to f*ck with his recruiting every year at USC and his twitter page. We will be relentless. And we will win.

ou boosters and/or admin did something to piss riley off.

Mojo - remember Riley when he was coaching at ECU. You are very wrong about nobody having heard of him. Nobody had given him the chance would be a better statement

If you’re smart. I would hire. Patterson. TCU’s ex coach. What he’s done at TCU is miraculous.

I love watching Sooners become huge dumpster fire just before starting SEC play!

Reminds me when Ken Hatfield left Arkansas for Clemson in the late 80s. Same type of situation. Next they will hire the Arkansas version of Jack Crowe.

That is how Arkansas joined the SEC.

But that’s the issue. OU fans have been clamoring for years to get out of the Big 12 especially after aTm and Mizzou left. OU deserves to be in the best conference and does that mean we will take some lumps? Absolutely. But most OU fans know this and would still rather be in the SEC. Iron sharpens iron and that wasn’t happening in that dumpster of a conference. We’ll take our lumps and let it play out. It’s awful early to already call OU a failure in the SEC. Let’s see who gets hired and we’ll go from there

Hey Sooners, ignore the Arky post. They had a great season and are just a bit full of p@ss and vinegar.

It's possible Lincoln Riley did accept the LSU position verbally to Woodward, but got cold feet. Reached out to USC and used that open position as an escape from the pressure cooker that is either OU joining the SEC after duping LSU or the LSU head coach position.
