I mean they definitely went toe-to-toe after playing the 1st in a state of absolute shellshock.
I would have loved to have seen the score reset to start the 2nd - woulda been a great game.

He’s just making the positive spin. You do that after a loss in the postseason. Obviously when OU tightened up to 11 Alabama easily ourscored them again so it was never in doubt. But that’s the mindset Riley should have

Sooners will say anything to try and still appear relevant,. They now have an 0-3 record in the CFP, their conference is completely terrible, and their defense is an abortion to CFB.

Did Alabama have some dumb penalties in the red zone that stop two drives for TDs? That is at least 8 points left on the field......
so OU would have only outscored Alabama 34-25, with Alabama taking a knee at the end

They got down close twice and had to settle for field goals. Never got closer than 11 after getting hit in the mouth early and the game ends us with the ball showing mercy at their 5.

They're both new head coaches. shite happens. I think Kirby will get Georgia over the hump. Riley walked into a great situation and has kept it together. I don't know how well he's recruiting but no one really has the talent anywhere to beat Bama right now. At least not consistently.
Bama is obviously the best right now. I don't know why anyone would argue otherwise. The results on the field clearly show it.

That’s Lacrosse team parking cone loser denial right there. Bama went safe and won with athletes. Riley is confused by this since no team in his conference plays anything that resembles defense and offenses must never take foot off gas.

There should have been 2 more scores (or 3 if Saban doesn't mercy knee them at the end) if not for some straight up dumb penalties. They never outplayed Alabama. Alabama could pretty much do what they wanted unless it was them shooting themselves in the foot.

Alabama reminds of Jack Nicklaus in his prime.
He almost always birdied the first hole therefore putting pressure on the other golfer right off the bat.
Bama is great at doing the same thing. They score first (in this case, four times over) and the other team is already on their heels.
Game was over 5-6 minutes in last night. Credit to Okie for the effort and the comeback but the issue was never even close to being in doubt.

Riley knows his fan base and in the B-12 it's all in the statistics, not in the win.
He is recruiting the 7 on 7 kids and knows the game he must play to entice those recruits.
He's a great coach no doubt about it's just that what people here read into his words are not what people out there read from them.
