Like it or not, Freeze is going to make Auburn a national power

As an LSU fan, I hate to admit it but Freeze is going to turn Auburn into a NC contender sooner than later. If you look at this year's recruiting class, it's mind boggling to think he's already pulling in 5 stars and high 4 stars and he hasn't even been there a year.
When you can start flipping the best Alabama commits to Auburn, you've accomplished something. I know some will say he's cheating, and he probably is, but all the major programs cheat and have been cheating for many, many years.
As Ole Miss coach, he recruited against some of the best programs and still won his fair share of players. The scary part about Freeze is he already has a proven track record of success in the SEC and now he has an abundant amount of money and resources that he didn't have at Ole Miss.
The reality is Freeze already has two wins over Saban and should have had a third this season, if it wasn't for that fluke fourth down play. How many other coaches have two wins over Saban? The fact is Alabama had twice as much talent than Auburn this season, but Freeze still almost pulled off a win. You can say it was a rivalry game, if that makes you feel good, but Freeze out-coached Saban plain and simple.
The rest of the SEC needs to understand that Auburn is on its way back and is no longer that guaranteed win on the schedule. They may have lost to New Mexico State by 3 TDs the week before the Iron Bowl, but remember Saban also lost to Louisiana-Monroe during his first year and I think everything turned out OK.
Like it or not, the SEC is going to get a lot harder next season and don't be shocked if Freeze has Auburn contending for the SEC Championship and for a spot in the college football playoffs.

Ole Miss was a national power under Freeze, that's why they had a losing record his last year.

He's a good coach but I still don't see why everyone thinks he's so elite? Can he get there....maybe ...but can we atleast let him sniff a division crown before flowers get thrown at his feet?
He was very good at Ole Miss but minus the wins vs Saban, Lane Kiffin is on track to outpace him and Lane is doing it with less heralded recruits.
Freeze was 39-25 at Ole Miss in 5 seasons.
Kiffin is 33-15 now after 4 seasons.
Time will tell tho but Freeze just doesn't scream elite to me.

Freeze recruited me when he was at Lambuth. Nothing against the guy he was nice enough but I don’t see how he recruits so well. I thought he was kind of bland and cheesy
But had he bought me a hooker my opinion may have been different

The bammers will do their reflexive downvote followed by a rambling diatribe that amounts to nothing more than coping. But does down inside they know you’re right. Saban is in the twilight of his career. Recruits know this. They see it. Meanwhile Freeze is building something at Auburn. Something top recruits want to be a part of. Bammers can indulge their delusions all they want. But deep down inside, they see the writing on the wall.

While both inherited terrible teams, Lane Kiffin was able to fill the team through transfer portal. Quicker fix.

Auburn has a very long way to go before they're in SEC or national contention again, especially considering they're 4th in the SEC West at best right now.

Like it or not the guy should have beaten not only Alabama but also Georgia and he has no quarterback and his players are pretty much not the best. I've always said it was a good coach, I think he'll do quite well there

Dude he might coach them to the point they will be right on the cusp of greatness only to loose a head scratcher. Before 4th and 31 was 4th and 25. Huge Freeze is the human version of fool’s gold. This class will look great on paper but by year three over 80% will be busts. Oh and who is dropping huge bags on HS kids unless they are Top 5 QBs. They will rake in that money and in a year or two go looking for an even bigger pay day via the portal.

If it wasn’t for “fluke plays” in 2015 Freeze would have one win over saban. Freeze isn’t the first coach to play a much better Bama team in JHS well. This happens every time. Schleps like terry Bowden and Gus malzahn actually BEAT much more talented Bama teams than this past years Bama. You have to be from Bama to actually know how much Auburn focuses and spends time on that game. Even if it costs them a couple others, they don’t care. Many weeks are spent practicing for Bama only to lose to who they should have been prepping for. I dare say auburn never even brought New Mexico up the week they lost that game.
