The easiest and most fair way to add two extra conference games is to just take the next two teams coming up in the rotation (2021 and 2022 opponents), and move them up to this year. How could anyone complain? If a team gets a tough draw, its probably because they've gotten it easy the past few years and its time for things to even themselves out. Why create more work and more headaches for yourself unless there is a reason you don't like how the rotation looks this year for certain teams?

The only reason the SEC won't go with the logical plan is because they want Alabama to have an easier draw. There is literally no other explanation.

The next two teams up for Alabama are Florida and Vanderbilt. But the SEC doesn't want Alabama to be the only Western Division team to have to play both Florida and Georgia.

Auburn played both Georgia and Florida in an 8-game SEC schedule in 2019.
LSU played both Georgia and Florida in an 8-game SEC schedule in 2018.

But now that Alabama would be facing both Georgia and Florida in a 10-game SEC schedule, suddenly we've got to throw out the entire rotation and re-look at things??? Give me a break.

This is just more of the same from the SEC. Never let a special circumstance go to waste when you could use it as a reason to make things easier for Bama. It's been this way for 50 years, why make things fair now?

I get why people think there is some conspiracy to fix Bamas schedule but many of you guys are seriously exaggerating this.
From reading as much as there is out there, I'd conclude the 2 extra opponents per school has already been determined. That's easy.
The difficulty is lining up dates to make it all work. Some games were scheduled prior to Sept 26 and if off/ooc dates don't line up then you can't just "stick them in". Also have to navigate the 3 week "bye" period mid season. They've pretty much got to blow up the previous schedule dates to make it work. It's not as simple as fitting the 2 games in as is.
That likely could be done with current schedules but opponents would be limited to certain dates that may line up only with one other team and likely to cause unbalanced schedules in terms of strength.

The SEC doesn't care about any of the schools. They care about money and placing themselves in the best position for a marquee SEC CG, NY6 bowls and CFP contention.

If Bama is the favorite in the West and already scheduled to play the favorite in the East during the regular season, why risk increasing the odds for a mulligan match or further attrition if not required. As it has become evident around here, that some don't like watching mulligan games.

Its seems a better hedge to avoid the scenario if the SEC wants max teams in the best position at the end of the year.

It's obviously the only objective way to do this.

You cannot leave it up to anyone who arbitrarily decides what's "fair" It's a recipe for disaster.

VOLS played Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and LSU in an 8 game schedule in 2017.

It’s time to move those offices to Nashville

Did I miss something? Are we now not playing Florida and Vanderbilt? I just got back from lunch so I'm seriously asking if something has come out about the new schedule

You could make everything a helluva lot easier for 2020 by doing away with divisions. A 10 game schedule and the top 2 teams meet in Atlanta.

Womack will be adding the KC Chiefs and 1995 Nebraska for Auburn's schedule.

I guess I haven't been paying enough attention to this but are we now not playing UGA on our schedule? I seriously don't understand what the fuss is over. If they added the next two that are rotating on our schedule and kept UGA then I don't see the issue.

Completely agree.

Other teams have had to face the same gauntlet it's such bullshite Bama could wiggle out.

The SEC office is not going to have Bama play UGA, Tennesee, and Florida is the same season.

It’s quite the opposite. They are trying to protect certain teams from taking the loss by playing Alabama. That would increase the odds of two playoff teams.

Mark Womack is an outstanding alum of the University of Alabama. He has the character and intelligence to lead this conference.

He's the 3rd most powerful man in the SEC behind Saban and Sankey.

The REC runs this sh*t, just sit there and be happy to be in a conference with Alabama and collect your check.
