I can rank the top 5 moments against us… it’s quite a list.

I can really only think of three for LSU/UGA:

1) Burrow catches his own pass
2) Honey Badger punt return
3) Mauck to Green in 03 for the win.

And the Burrow catch is only on there just because it was at that moment every one knew that there was no stopping this guy that season.

Just a well played game by one team resulting in an arse kicking isn't really what I had in mind.

I get it, but a game where a team only crosses the 50 yard line once, and it is a title game, I think fits.

The 12th man (Cullen Gillaspia) scoring a touchdown

The UCLA game, terrible memory for me but memorable nonetheless. Almost as bad as the USL game in Lafayette which was the first game I attended

This game had a lot of controversy surrounding it but this was still one hell of a catch. Also how can a game with that many overtime’s not be one of the most memorable

Jamie Howard throws 5 interceptions vs Auburn

Two posts in - I go from
Interested in reading replies to wanting to burn this thread. Thank you for bringing this up, I’m going to go slam my head in the corner repeatedly so I can get the exact memory of watching that glorious performance.

There is a bright side to that - the following week if I recall Jamie Howard called into the Richard condon show and they started mouthing off to each other about throwing down.

1992 Sugar Bowl- of all the arrogant fan bases, Miami matched it with one of the all-time arrogant teams, they just would not shut up. Well, Alabama shut them up

Ahhh - yes, that was awesome. Miami shows up in concrete camo at MSY. The sure arrogance- that bs south Florida cheesy/criminal persona. Gene stallings on sideline- pure class- suit and tie- twas a thing of beauty.

No time outs left and on the 10 yard line.

I apologize, I just realized you were a Rebel fan and not a moo state fan. That’s pretty terrible/amazing depending on who you’re cheering for

Dear Mother of God, OP omits college footballs greatest ever play.

Sad.

Eric Reed’s interception against Alabama was a great moment. Game tied Alabama receiver looks like he caught the ball and Reed stole it away

The final moments of the Bama-State game in 1980 definitely has to rank high. Bama had a 28 game winning streak, 26 game SEC winning streak and had beat State 22 consecutive times. I was there. It was the loudest I have ever heard a stadium in all the years I have been going to CFG’s.

If we are talking all of SEC and not just my favorite team, it has to be kick 6.

It’s the most memorable for several reasons:

-The uniqueness of the play. It was a field goal returned for a touch down
-Timing if the play. It occurred as time expired
-In game decision making/lobbying. Saban argued and berated the refs to add one more second so he could steal the win
-Implications of the match-up. Winner of that game was going to the SEC championship game and would be in line to compete for the national title.
-Rivalry game. It just happened to be in the fricking iron bowl, the biggest rivalry in college football

For those 5 reasons it should be the most memorable play in SEC history.
