So the record reflects Kiffin had a psychotic break and dissociative disorder?
He made a decision and whines that some false reality didn’t come to fruition

He's probably confused because the other 2 playoff coaches who left for new jobs coached in the CFP.

No team would let their former coach, who was contractually bound to coach a rival, finish a season in their building, especially in the transfer portal era. Not LSU, not Bama, not UGA. No one
It’s an unbelievably simple concept that I cannot, for the life of me, fathom why LSU fans want this hill to die on. If he’s the coach to win championships as they claim, then why does what he potentially could have done at Ole Miss matter?
The fact that LSU has tried to compare the situation to Sumrall is also hilarious. They are, by far, the softest fan base in the entire country. They should just change their name to Charmin State.

Perhaps so. Would be wild if a discussion never took place of what consequences would follow if he committed to the LSU opening during the course of the Ole Miss season.

I think both sides probably thought they could use the playoff as bargaining chip. It obviously didn't work.

They’re just pissed they had their little honeymoon period stolen and most college football fans think their coach is a fricking clown and now they are forced to support Lame who is clearly a massive piece of shite. It’s easy to do when he hasn’t coached a game yet. But when they go 8-4 and get run off the field in some games it’s gonna be hilarious to watch the Lane Train Wreck.
It’s Hugh Freeze to Auburn all over again.

Lame tried to schedule a meeting with the team leaders and they told him to frick off. They didn’t want that fraudulent homosexual anywhere near their playoff run.

Wildly inaccurate but on par for an OM fan.
More like. “I got offered a job at the highest level of my profession that I’m going to take but I want to stay at my current job and finish out the year to help them reach their goals they just won’t let me cause they are insulted I chose my career over them.”
Let's turn this on its head.
Would you feel the same way if Lane took the Bama job during an LSU playoff run? After all, Bama is, unquestionably, the better job than LSU, and they're annual rivals.

Holeee inferiority complex,
This is closer to being the president of a company that has accepted a new job, but wants/wanted to see a project/merger through to its natural conclusion before leaving. The board used the opportunity to go in a different direction,
In this scenario how is success/failure judged?
LSU has reached the point that success is measured in National Championships.
How does Ole Miss measure success? If it’s in winning a playoff game or 2 then the right decision was made to not let Lane coach.
If their success is measured in national championships, then near term they did not put themselves in the best position to succeed.
Golding being the right choice to go through the playoffs last year may have been the best choice given the internal constraints (not letting lane coach).
Right now who else would hire Golding as a head coach?
we probably will not be able to do a full post mortem on this for 5 or so years.
The reality is that the model now is that all involved want to be treated like professionals, professionals are hired guns. Leaving in the middle of things or a strategic mutually beneficial exit happens all the time in business, everyone needs to grow up.

Yeah but it was clearly addressed prior to the playoff. I dont know Kiffin thought it could have transpired in any way other than it did.
Him saying he would have liked to coach anyway is only highlighting how out of touch with reality he is. Just because Saban simped for him on College Gameday it wasnt going to change things.
Generally we call these people insane in the real world

He's autistic so he's looking at this very literally.
Functionally, there's no difference between Sumrall coaching Tulane in the playoff and Kiffin coaching Ole Miss, just functionally speaking.

Lane needs to be placed on probation for tampering.
