I never cheered for other Big 8 teams and other Big XII teams. I cheer for every SEC brother. There is fraternity in this conference that our others didn’t have.

The SEC has had 5 teams win or play for a National Championship since the BCS era...go ahead and name the 5 teams from all the other "just like every other conferences" you reference. I'll hang up and listen....

No Dawg fan here...but the stupid Texas-Austin fans....living in a vacuum.
Yes they won and a win is a win. So I hate the GA argument that they didn't try as it tells u about their culture and team commitment to their coaching staff & program.
However, most their weak minded players did opt out and TU was playing basically a team of 2nd and 3rd string players. Yet, TU still believes this victory shows the ENTIRE SEC just how they would dominate us ALL.
Typical Horn logic.
HORNS DOWN SEC T-shirts are coming!!!

Hell, the conference is so strong that even UGA played in the championship game!

That was a long time ago and it was relevant then. Now everyone agrees we are the top dogs so it’s meaningless. Plus, soon almost everyone relevant will be here. It’s just outdated.

The Florida Gators have released their unavailable players list ahead of the Cotton Bowl against the Oklahoma Sooners. You can find the entire list below.
3 Marco Wilson
4 David Reese
6 Shawn Davis
7 Jeremiah Moon
8 Trevon Grimes
15 Jacob Copeland
17 Kahleil Jackson
21 Ethan Pouncey
22 Rashad Torrence II
51 Ventrell Miller
54 Lamar Goods
55 Hayden Knighton
66 Jaelin Humphries
84 Kyle Pitts
91 Marlon Dunlap
95 Lucas Alonso
Not all of those players were starters, not even half. But you fail to mention that OU did not play its starting S, starting CB, Starting WR, and TWO of its three top RB's. Everyone dealt with COVID and opt outs. In fact, several posters on this forum like to throw the ISU and KSU games in OU's face, but don't seem to understand that not only was OU starting a brand new QB, but it was barely able to field a team for both of those games due to COVID, but did not want to cancel the games (perhaps they should have gone the A&M route and done so). Face it, Florida lost and lost badly. It is amazing the excuses that come from SEC fans when they lose in bowl games. OU has beaten Alabama, Auburn, and Florida in Sugar/Cotton bowls and every time the excuses flow like the sewer. Just own it, we've owned the losses in the playoffs, gotta get better.

SEC: It Just Means More*
*unless the SEC team didn't care about the game**
**They won't know if they care about the game until they know if they win or lose

You got us in a meaningless game. Congrats. Well, I guess it was meaningful to you.
That still wasn't the Florida team that took Alabama to the mat no matter how much you wish it to be.
And it will never make up for that lost Natty to us.

quote:Texas is 4-0 in bowl games over the past 4 seasons and were underdogs in 3 of them
They almost never win if they are at a talent disadvantage or as an underdog.

quote:The one bowl game they were favored in (by 7 pts) they won by 32
They probably won't get the chance to chant SEC SEC SEC. They barely win if favored with a big talent advantage.

Wait... by your logic, it doesn't matter, because hey, OU didn't have Demarco Murray, one of the best RB's OU has had. I guess that did not have anything to do with it. You see, that bullshite, just doesn't fly. OU obviously missed him, several drives where they stalled on the goal line, you guys benefitted, but the bottom line is no one stepped up and they lost. Thanks though for illustrating my point for me, well done.

The big 12 has had 3, and a few teams left out even after having a stellar record.

UT: Hook 'em.

That's because nobody hates the Big12. Give it time, you'll learn. By "time" I mean years btw.

You chant "SEC-SEC-SEC" at bowl games after you beat the living hell out of a team that the media could't bring themselves to stop slobbering over
So basically the same thing we already do? I remember chanting SEC at the sugar bowl.

First off, that is completely unrelated and you should feel very bad (seriously bad) about making that comparison. Second, horns down is taunting. Allow taunting and I'm fine with horns down. No taunting, then no horns down. Don't be a hypocrite.

I’ve only ever hated TX and looked down on other conference members, this conference pride brotherhood bull shite makes no sense
It developed over years of being shite on by the media and talking heads who gave all their respect to programs from other conferences. They didn't want to give us the respect we deserved, so we took it for ourselves. Now we shove it in their faces.

quote:literally nobody at Texas campaigned for that to be a rule. That was some big 12 bullshite. Almost every Texas athlete and fan could not care less about this. If anything we like that other teams are thinking about us when we don’t even ask them to
