Makes me wonder about Moo State ! Their claim to fame is a ringing fricken cowbell. Almost as bad as a pig or a chicken for a mascot . How many SEC Championships have they had ringing those hick bells anyway?

In other words, its like a handicap. The SEC allows it so that MSU stays somewhat competitive

I agree with this

I wonder why Miles hates the bells so much?

I don't think he hates the cowbells. He is probably just stating the obvious that you can't have a rule them allow certain ppl to break this rule under specific conditions, its hypocritical. IMO, I have no problem with the cowbells. Its a nice little tradition that State has. But if State fans are honest they have to admit that the rule is hypocritcal.

The SEC Coaches and ADs from schools not. Named Mississippi State University voted 9-2 in FAVOR of the cowbells and bending the rule.

Apparently you don't comprehend things very well. I don't give a shite who or what voted for or against it. Its still bullshite to allow it under certain situations. I think opposing fans should all bring whistles to the games and blow the shite out of them anytime MSU is on offense. I wonder how the SEC would handle that.

I'm gonna invent an ipod/iphone attachment. App will be a tiger roar, attachment will magnify the sound 100x. Then everyone in Tiger Stadium can get in on the act when we play the cowbells.

Rules are rules, said LSU coach Les Miles, and artificial noisemakers are not supposed to be allowed, according to NCAA rules.

This is false. He does get confused easy, so I will give him a pass.

props to les for standing up against the rule breakers, whoever the other coach was he doesn't have the lesticles to publically back up his vote.

If state gets to ring the bells I absolutely agree that every game state plays on the road the opposing fans should be allowed noise makers.

The whole having to have a cowbell to make noise pretty much sums up how pathetic and second rate moo state fans are

our stadium is about to get an expansion. Our team won 9 games last year. Our stadium is louder when the cowbells are not ringing. These are all facts. You silly.

Maybe I'm weird, but I never understood what all the fuss was about the cowbells. They never bothered me. You almost get used to them when State is playing on TV or in person....

Now whistles, that's a different story...

I did not go to Starkville last year, but hasn't there always been a sign posted at the stadium that artifical noicemakers are prohibited?

it should be more school specific

at LSU they should let us smash whiskey bottles and bang on empty crawfish boil pots

This is the proper response. Bring the vuvuzelas, ONLY to Miss State games, and use them ONLY when Miss State rings the cowbells.

(Do we have this much discipline?)
