Alabama does have a good run defense but is basically untested against a running team.
Not entirely true. Arky has a formidable running attack, and that's what bama fans have been hanging their hat on all week. But I don't think that LSU & Arky are nearly as comparable as they seem to think.

First off Tigers are every bit as talented as Bama and they have every bit as much to play for as Bama, I'm not sure why the hat would need trick plays, However, you don't want to be predictable. This is one of the youngest teams in the SEC which is why they struggled earlier this year, they have matured and now have a identity. This game could go either way but my guess is LSU 20 Bama 17.

We don't have less talent

And you're gonna see a lot of the same Ole Miss did.

With maybe a couple more passes

Not at all, LSU is playing with nothing to lose aside from wanting revenge and to ruin Bama's season

This. Saturday night is our bowl game as far as I am concerned.

I'm interested to see how Bama's front 7 does against LSU's relentless attack. They'll stop us for sure but for how long?

If LSU gets 2 or 3 first downs early and doesn't have the 3 and outs its over. Just running 7-8 plays and punting will be good...by the 3rd quarter we will make their arse quit.

Having the week off I wouldn't be surprised to see some read option.

I don't think LSU will be able to move the ball consistently with a power run game. They will need some short fields to work with or find some points in unconventional ways.

Agreed, I can't see saban not being ready for runs up the middle every play

This. I want AJ to get more involved as a runner. He is a very gifted athlete who is still working on his touch with the short to intermediate route. Loosen up the Bama pass D by threatening them with his ability to run.

I will be very surprised if LSU can run on Alabama as effectively as they did against Ole Miss, just as I would be surprised if our pass defense is as effective as Ole Miss. This will be an interesting matchup between two inexperienced teams who are hitting their stride.

This comment shows that you have no idea what you're talking about. Alabama has one of the deepest d-lines in college football.

Haha, not going to lie. When I first read the subject I assumed this was posted by an LSU fan.

Any well coached team will always have something to play for even if it is just for pride. Saying which teams are under more pressure or which have nothing to lose is fan and analyst talk. A well coached team...which both teams are..will always have more to play for than pride alone. Homework has been done and schemes are in place...gonna come down to who executes their scheme to its potential. As long as LSU doesn't go down early Simms will face his truest test in being able to handle the chaos he's about to experience
