I know some of you guys like to rag on Leonard, but if he had the exact same season this year, as he had last year, he would have the Heisman. Even with the bad Bama game.

It really is a different year from last where there were several guys who really had a shot to win it. This year Jackson will win by default.

EDT: Stats:
300 carries, 1953 yds, 6.5 ypc, 22 TD
19 receptions, 253 yds, 13.3 ypc, 1 TD
7 DBs crushed =)

A lot of great players who did not win a heisman would win it this year. Most underwhelming field in a long time.

The W-L record would affect him though. And disappearing during big games wouldn't help him either.

Derrick Henry's starts from last year would give him this year's Heisman, too.

Booger is not even worthy of a Heisman invite. His vision is poor.

95% of the time Da "Hypeman" award is given to the best player on the best team...or given to a player who comes up Big against elite competition in November. The Sec rant knows that Bugu is a great back...not legendary neither was Ingram or Henry. They put their team on their back and carried them to NCs so they got a Heisman because of team success.

This year W-L record was moot. Louisville has 3 losses, not in NY6 bowl. Also, Jackson didn't play well in some of their big games.

Stats added to OP for those interested.

Not sure, he'd be behind the Texas RB in ypg by quite a bit and pretty close in yards per carry.

As poor as Texas played this year, their offense was more balanced than Lsu's last year. Foreman trailed LF in TDs, but Texas took more advantage of their other options from mobile QB to WRs.

2015 LF was only slightly ahead of 2016 Pumphrey who was proven to be a consistent performer throughout college and didn't even get an invite.

Leonard's stats from last year would have given him the Heisman Trophy last year but then Bama' Defense and Derrick Henry happened.

he disappeared in 1 big game when he had no room to run.

The other games people claim he disappeared in:

Ole Miss: 108 yards rushing, 4.3 ypc (with an 80 yard TD called back) and 72 yards receiving. If 180 yards is getting shut down....

And Arky:
91 yards, 4.8 ypc and 36 yards receiving.
