You know what fan base wont rush the field this weekend? Miss State. Because theyll lose. :(
We won't rush the field this Saturday because we expect to win the game. We will win the game and then we will bask in your defeat. Only teams that expect to lose rush the field after a win.

can't remember which player it was (i think it was a receiver) but someone handed him a lit cigar and he puffed away while they put him on their shoulders

Reminds me of my junior year of high school. We were playing our biggest rivals at home. We were average, pretty meh, but better than we had been in a while. Our rivals regularly played for state titles and had D1 prospects every year. All week long our administration said there would be NO tearing down the goalposts but we said F it.
So game rolls around and it ends up going go overtime. Towards the end it looked like we might win so all of the seniors and juniors start to line up on the track by the corner of the endzone. We are SO pumped because I mean it's high school and tearing down a FG post would be badass. Well, overtime ends and due to some BS stipulation in the state rules about how long games can go, there was no extra time and the game was decided by advancement. So basically the other team got 1 point added to their score bc they had more yards in overtime.
We all just kinda sat there embarrassed as frick and ended up just walking away.

UGA rushed the field for being a team that was ranked lower than them??

We have. It has probably been since the early 80's though. I am guessing vs FSU in 1981. We rushed the field at the cocktail party too and brought the goal post back to Gainesville in '84 or '86.
Edit: Actually it might have been USC in 1982.

Cigar game, I remember they had vaseline on the goalposts to try and keep people off the goalposts. It didn't work.

Kentucky fans could rush the field two more times this season.
We love to rush the field, it's awesome.
MSU could possibly be top-5 when the come to Commonwealth so that would definitely be a field rush worthy win.
UGA will probably still be ranked pretty highly and if everything fell just right, UK could clinch the East with a win.
Hope we rush at least two more times this season.

Bama ever rush the field at Legion Field? I remember one SEC title game where some dude tried to rush the field. State trooper beat his arse with a night stick. I can't remember if they made it on the field or not?

Every single fan base in America, bar none, would have rushed the field after the kick six given the rivalry and national title implications.

Only have gotten to do it once, but agreed. I don't care who you are a fan of, rushing the field is an experience everyone should have.

We had lost 9 straight to tennessee, who at the time was still a very relevant national program. It was at night with college gameday on campus and was a huge huge game.
Not sure what's so bad about that.

Last time each team rushed the field
First, you missed that this was a trick question. UGA's team rushes the field at the beginning of each game.
As far as fans, to me nothing will ever compare to 1985 in Jax. UF was #1 for the first time ever starting that week. We stomped them then rushed the field. I believe more turf from that field was in Athens and around the state of Georgia than was left in the stadium. It changed the WLOCP forever. They started bringing in Dobermans and mounted policeman at the beginning of the 4th quarter after that. Of course the previous year, UF rushed the field and the police just kindly stepped aside and smiled.
