Kenny Stabler was a great quarterback. Loved the Snake with the Raiders and also with the Oilers

It's been a long stretch from the Starr/Namath/Stabler eras, but how many other teams can say that outside of Oklahoma today?

Based on the replies to the cold hard facts so far, no one.

None. There has literally never been a successful OSU QB in the NFL. It is bizarre.

Pretty sure those guys were the product of a slightly system than Sabans QBs.

Kent Graham made a decent career out of being a backup. Is it really tough to understand that the school known for "3 yard and a cloud of dust" hasn't had success putting quarterbacks in the league?

Joe Willie and the Snake played for coach Bryant. A defense-first/last kind of guy. It was coach Bryant that famously said: "At Alabama, we don't win Heismans, we win National Championships." Which both Namath and Stabler also accomplished at BAMA.

Joe Burrow.

Has had one season and hasn't won anything yet.

He might succeed, but let's not count those chickens yet.

On a related note, income taxes are due in a few weeks.

With all the talk of Mac Jones being graded higher than Fields due to "systemic racism"
I literally haven't read anywhere about systemic racism being brought up when it comes to Mac Jones being graded higher, I keep hearing about Fields inconsistency.

He has a long release and floats the ball.

Isn't that logic by itself racist?

Americans no longer study logic and don't understand it.

Justin Fields

I think Fields is slightly overrated in the first place, only getting the pub he receives because he played at a big school, I think higher of Lance than I do him

Purdue has a decent QB tradition historically. Ken Dawson, Bob Griese, and Drew Brees. Jim Everett had a decent career.

Good luck with that. I hear black marker is very hard to remove from your computer screen.

I will say though. Its hilarious how much Mac is getting ripped for having a great supporting cast while a guy that went to Ohio State is getting propped up

Well, I think it's pretty clear why Fields is getting propped up right now. Don't want to "go there" but the media has made his game being questioned into a race thing. It's so ridiculous.

oddly enough, NC State: Phillip Rivers, Russell Wilson, Jacoby Brissett, Mike Glennon, and Ryan Finley all started games in 2020, albeit Finley started after Burrow got hurt. Still pretty damn imporessive for a ranbdom school like that.

USC, at one time, had Matt Leinart, Matt Cassell, Carson Palmer, and Mark Sanchez starting in the NFL.

Michigan had Tomt Brady, Briane Griese, and Chad Hennee starting at the same time

Miami had a run with Testeverde, Kelly, Mira, Kosar, and Walsh

Purdue has been a ton of QBs in the league. BYU used to pump them out too

Ok, cool,
A. J. McCarron A career back up journeyman
Greg McElroy done in the 1st contract
John Brodie Croyle done after 1 contract
Jake Coker 1 year scout team
Blake Sims 1 year scout team journeyman
John Parker Wilson 1 contract
Freddie Kitchens longest NFL career to date but he did it as a coach.
Tua Tagovailoa TBD likely injury hampered.
