One of the guys was a Texas alum and a big supporter. His comment to the group.
“The truth is if Kiffin had been offered the HC gig at Texas, Ohio St, Alabama, etc.. he would have accepted almost immediately”
Never thought about it but he might be right.

A Texas alum thinks the most coveted HC in america right now would accept his school right away? Whoa. Earth shattering stuff here. Interesting.

You should have asked him how many coaches turned them down before they hired Sark. He was either 5th or 7th on the list.

He's got two behemoth programs vying for his skills as a Head Coach and they have deadlines.
Probably the hardest decision hes ever made.
If he thought he could sustain this level of success at Ole Miss he would have signed the extension weeks ago.

In the current landscape I wouldn’t want to deal with the boosters at one of these schools that just expects championships. PSU fired a coach that was in the playoffs last year. Only reason I think Elko signed extension at A&M is that the AD shields him from that crap

Lies, DeBoer waited until the season was over, tom Herman waited until the season was over to accept Texas job. Osu just promoted Ryan day.

Quite the selective outrage since he clearly mentioned other schools there. You missed the point.
Lane would jump at the chance to coach in a large media market. I don't agree with him, but that was clearly what he meant.

Two jobs that would be instant yes's from Kiffin have always been Texas and Alabama. That has been known.
If he were to go to LSU. If either one of those opens, you better believe the Kiffin circus would open back up.
