Yep.
They’re probably still sorting through a list of potentials. Interest has been explored. Numbers to increase interest will then be discussed. Offer will be made when they’re sure of getting their guy. The $ info will come out after their guy is announced.

Saban wasn't bullshitting.
They tried to hire Saban all the way back at the end of November, and he wouldn't even talk to them. The only thing he could even get from Sexton was maybe he would talk to him after the Dolphins season and that wasn't even a sure thing.
They tried to hire Spurrier, but Spurrier declined.
Since Saban wouldn't even talk to them, they tried to hire Rich Rod. And of course, he originally accepted before not taking it(nice).
Saban made that statement in mid December.
Mal Moore went back to Miami on New Years to try and persuade him another time. Which was actually about Miss Terry - she wanted to go to Alabama. Miss Terry basically forced him to talk to Mal Moore, he was going to stay with Miami.

I’m convinced this is his appeal. He’s a “character”.
I’ve said it several times here but I’ll repeat… “get your popcorn ready” is a perfect way to sum up his career and coaching ability. Lots of hype. Total disappointment.
I don’t think there’s been a single coach as overrated as Kiffin.
