I do not think a coach has control to call the game due to COVID. There are SEC mandated criteria that were agreed upon by every member of the SEC. The SEC Office gets these reports and makes a decision on if they meet the criteria. Unless you are saying LSU is faking positive testing ?

It is my understanding that the Athletic Department still has the option to play the game if they choose.

Sage Ryan told Bama to frick right off.
yeah. Ryan decided a week or two ago. This recruiting class is about rapped up for everybody. Coaches using this for recruiting will be going forward

Nope, that is an SEC Office decision. Always has been.

Sending (or allowing) his entire team to go to a 1000 student mass Halloween party right after they got their collective shite pushed in by 40 points was obviously an attempt to get the team so infected they could quit.
It’s kinda like losing by 30-0 and attempting a last second field goal to try to avoid an Eaux score.
The man is a low class coward. I suspect LLLSU will find a way to avoid playing anymore games this season. What a bunch of LLLoSUers.

You can play for Alabama and risk a catastrophic injury when they want you to come back too early or go play at LSU for a coach who takes the health and wellness of his players seriously

As best as I can understand it, going by a well established, pre-season rule, it was the SEC League Office who called the game. Per SEC League rules. The same rule that resulted in Fla. having a game called earlier. Out of all the games being cancelled around the league, it will only LSU who gets hurt in recruiting? Yea, Coach O is really worried about this class. Good Lord.
You can't reason with these idiots. We have A7-50M fans on here calling out LSU when their game with Tennessee gets postponed because of COVID issues at A7-50M. A1abama fans claim national championships awarded by People's Digest in 1948. What do you expect?

That's incorrect.

To play a football game, the SEC has established minimum thresholds of at least 53 scholarship players available to participate and the following minimum number of position scholarship players available to begin a game: seven (7) offensive linemen (which includes one center), one (1) quarterback and four (4) defensive linemen. The impacted institution has the option to play the game with fewer than the 53 scholarship players or fewer than the minimum number of position players listed above if it elects to do so. Otherwise, upon approval by the Commissioner, the game would be rescheduled or declared a no contest.

You have no understanding

What school would want to play with fewer than 53 players? Give it up

I think they'd use our shitty season instead

Clearly not the school whose head coach said they were ready to play while simultaneously preparing for a completely different team.
