You are spot on here. It is totally unfair the way LSU is being treated. How can they expect to be at their best playing a juggernaut like Alabama with an early kickoff time? Sure, it's the same time that Tennessee played them and beat them by a couple of touchdowns a few weeks ago...but LSU isn't being treated fairly by playing them at the same time that Tennessee or Kentucky played them.
So far, LSU has only had 6 games kick off after 7pm Eastern (6pm Central)...they've only had 3 SEC games kick off at those later times...but other SEC teams have had preferential treatment. Here are the number of games SEC teams have played with kickoffs after 7 Eastern/6 Central (All games/SEC games):
Alabama: 2/2
Arkansas: 3/2
Auburn: 2/1
Florida: 2/1
Georgia: 1/1
Kentucky: 3/3
LSU: 6/3
Mississippi St.: 2/1
Missouri: 4/1
Ole Miss: 4/2
Oklahoma: 2/1
South Carolina: 2/1
Tennessee: 2/0
Texas: 3/1
Texas A&M: 3/2
Vanderbilt: 3/2
So...Kentucky and LSU are the only 2 SEC teams to have 3 conference games with kickoffs after 7pm Eastern/6pm Central. Tennessee is the only team with zero conference games with kickoffs after those times. YES...LSU is totally being treated unfairly.
