Turned down Auburn because he wanted to wait for Alabama and they didn’t even call. Makes sense that he’s acting out on Twitter, must be pretty depressing to be stuck in Oxford.

You believe they didn’t call? Lane didn’t want to work for Saban again and correctly believes the job will be open in 3 years again without Saban hovering.

I don't think they did. Lane would not have missed a chance to come out to tell the twitter world how he turned them down to “stay in the ‘sip”. Hell, Im surprised he didnt do that without even being called.

Come on. I know dudes, especially here, like to say outlandish shite and see what happens.
But really ? "Stuck" in Oxford ? Look, I though Kiffin would get a call as well. But lets say he didn't. He's not exactly "stuck" in Oxford. Look at his team next year. He's probably going to make the playoff with that squad.
That's not "stuck".

As an Alabama fan I wanted Lane because I think he's a good coach and because it would have been so entertaining. Multiple people connected to the program said versions of "Lane burned too many bridges to in Tuscaloosa to be considered". Don't know exactly who he pissed off (I know all the coed/wife rumors) but I don't think he was called.

Saban fired him the day before the NCG. Odds on Saban giving a negative report on him then? He was also fired on the runway at S.Cal.
