I dislike talking about the topic in general, but they are not wrong. The states are supposed to be able to legally succeed without the rest of the states attacking them.

All flags are stupid. I don’t care if they change it or not. They are all useless and serve no real purpose other than to get people feeling all nastalgic about a time they either didn’t actually live in or are likely remembering incorrectly anyway.

Whereas the moderate right wasn't able to stop the rise of Trump and now the Swamp Angels of the world who believe that the Civil War was simply a war of northern aggression are the mainstream of the right.
There's a difference between "our sides." The fringe voices on the left have tried to hijack the party and have failed. The fringe voices on the right tried to hijack the party and succeeded.

What policy-wise has Trump done for the little guy? What separates his economic policy from the old, tired, trickle-down bullshite that's been in the Republican playbook since Reagan?
Trump got through his tax cuts for the ultra-rich, and that's all the majority of the Republicans party wants -- lower taxes. The "America-first" bullshite was a way to con the "little guy" into thinking that Trump was going to fight for the farmers and steel workers, but aside from a failed protectionist trade war, has done nothing of the sort. When was the last time the phrase "infrastructure bill" was even uttered?
Now Trump is trying to use the Nixon law-and-order playbook the regain the upper hand, and it's backfired miserably in that it's completely motivated and mobilized the left.
It's a shame that someone can have "libertarian" in his name and stray so far from limited intervention. Nozick would be ashamed.
