He's a fricking midget. The football looks like a beach ball in his hand. There is NO way he could play QB for any meaningful time in the NFL.

Another horrible take by Reauxltide... glad to see your awful takes arent only on the MSB. man you really just dont know what you are talking about 99% of the time. No surprise you are a Bama fan.

A heisman and national title will look good on the resume.

Who is the last Heisman winner to not enter the NFL draft? Charlie Ward?

It’s not a hard choice at all for him. He’s probably going to make way more money, have better benefits, and not beat beat up his body playing baseball then football.

I wonder if Murray is in the draft? Remember Bo Jackson was a 7th rounder because of his baseball intentions. Could a team pick Murray late just to have his rights?

Doubt he's a first rounder.. he's a rich man's JFF, but end of the day similar limitations.

MLB=no brainer

more importantly, you have to take the guaranteed money in baseball over the risk of being cut in football.
Baseball contracts barely compare to football contracts when it comes to the guaranteed payout

I was surprised to see McShay's projection as well. But if you go with the premise that he would go first round, it gets interesting.

If Murray thought he would go rd 1 I bet he'd go the NFL route over football.

He barely played baseball for three+ years from his junior year in HS to college, foitball is obviously his passion.

When I first saw him on film during his recruitment, I didn't think there was any way he'd survive in the SEC as a QB. He's not built like his father, who was a prototypical QB, but rather, like his uncle Calvin who played baseball at Texas and then in MLB (mostly for the Giants, IIRC). Baseball is where his future lies, although he's a very good Big XII QB.

Just too short. Period. He wouldn't be able to see downfield over the linemen very well.

Baseball pays better, if you ever have to pick between the two it should always be baseball.

He is not a first round pick in the NFL . He would get killed in the NFL if he actually got to play.

If Charlie Ward played baseball as his second sport he would have gone to the NFL. Ward is 6'0.

The fact that he was trying to play BASKETBALL as well as football resulted in pretty much every NFL executive telling Ward they would not draft him unless he gave up basketball.

Deion Sanders and Bo Jackson were able to play both professionally.

Sproles has played in the NFL for years at 5-6" as a RB. They take more punishment than QBs.

Pretty amazing he has a legit shot at the Heisman this year and is going to not play football after this year.

Charlie Ward.
