I think Stoops extension will put him in the Top 10 for CFB coaches in the neighborhood of8M to 10M. Cal has a Saban clause in his deal. Would be funny if Stoops has a Cal clause in his.

Im not sure about that.
Ive always heard Kentucky fans absolutely love football almost as much as they love basketball. One of the biggest misconceptions is that they only care about basketball, supposedly they absolutely love football just as much.

Same thing this year. They beat a highly ranked, and very good, Utah team and then looked at their schedule for the next game. They saw the Cats of old, not the extremely well coached team that came to play them.
It’s not like UK is sneaking up on anyone anymore. I think it’s just an ingrained bias that has built up over the decades.

Maybe the alumni. But their basketball fanbase has always been 10x the size of their football fanbase due to large numbers of bandwagon fans

Of course they will also lose to Miss. St., Tenn, and UGA this year.
We've had some good, close games with Ole Miss so I wouldn't expect anything less this time around. And I think their fans probably feel the same.
Same with Mississippi State, that's been a full on rock fight for awhile. I expect that to be a toss-up as well.
Tennessee is Tennessee. Everybody has that one team that consistently is a thorn. But I don't think it's impossible either.
