He’s always had folks who could bring in quality defensive linemen. You better hope some of the ones he brings to FU can convert to the O line.

He was terribly inaccurate last year. So much so that even his normally fool proof way of hiding his inaccuracy couldn't help him. He's actually apologized for it.
I'm betting we'll be better than the fourth DL in the SEC when all is said and done. This UGA DL will be better than last year's version, which was pretty good.

I feel sorry for the Simmons kid. He was believed to be coming to Bama until he announced on signing day for MSU. He must live with a lot of reget after watching Bama in the playoffs the last 2 years and wonder what might have been.

Sweat is the only player on their DL that I would definitely start for Auburn.
Derrick Brown is a better DT than Simmons and Russell is potentially a better NT. He's not as explosive as Simmons but he is maybe the best in the league at clogging up the middle.

Experience and upperclassman matter a ton at the college level, especially when it comes to gambling. MSU has it. I don't think he was wrong at all in that prediction.

That why these guys got 1st team All-SEC over Simmons too?
Simmons and Davis are the two best DTs in the SEC and there is a sizable gap between them and No. 3.

No. Simmons was 1st team All-SEC and will be again this Fall. Simmons will also be a top 15 draft pick come April.

Davis and Brown are the top two in the conference. Simmons is a strong third though. He will definitely go before Russell (I’m betting he’s projected to go behind Brown) but I think Russell is the better space eater. They just play different roles.
