He is just realizing this? I need to sign up to be a coach I guess.

We are talking about bounces of an oddly shaped ball. There is no hire that will make that ball bounce your way, but feel free to convince me otherwise.

Oregeron is a shining example of a coach who is like Kirby in every single way but actually understands (at a faster level) how to adapt to his situation.

Havent you been downplaying all the adaptive moves Kirby has made in this offseason? Or are you just ignoring them?

And faster as in how? He was a head coach way back when UF was an elite program, which was a long time ago, so he has had plenty of time to learn, and Burrow would make a lot of guys look good.

Was a mistake. That was a rare legit 5 star transfer.

He was a three star? Crap. I think LSU could take an unrated kid and make him a star at WR.

He worked for Nick Saban for, like 30 years, and he's just now figuring this out???

You have this weird thing where you conflate very different situations due to a single thing they have in common.

"A bear and a shoe are brown, therefore they are the same."

You guys are rehauling your offense, this is true (as far as we know, we have to see the final product).

The problem is that Orgeron had his Quarterback, had his receivers, had his line in place -- he just needed to change the passing scheme. Route running, timing, etc. etc..

Georgia should have had this change last year. Not this year.

Your offense was built as a run first offense for about 3 years now (please don't say it wasn't, everyone knows this is Georgia's bread and butter). So you brought in a guy known for his passing offenses.

This is not good.

He also has a Quarterback who doesn't seem to be able to read the field and is, by all accounts, a pretty mediocre passer and relies more on the talent of his receivers than his talent.

That new Quarterback who has never been in your system to begin with is now playing behind a relatively new line (some starts are there I admit) of four players. Worse yet, Georgia also lost both of their starting tight ends which help in the blocking scheme, especially since your fat linemen who aren't accustomed to a dual-threat QB aren't going to be able to block him effectively if he starts scrambling around, which is going to be a big part of his game.

So you have a new QB, a new offensive coordinator, a new offensive scheme, one returning offensive linemen, no returning tight ends and you lost both of your two-deep at the running back position.

And this entirely new offensive look has what, about 7 months to get fixed?

Again, if Monken can fix your offense while all of those pieces are moving around -- he should be Head Coach and Kirby should be replaced.

The situations are no where remotely close to being the same.

One thing is to retool your passing coordinator, another is to retool your entire offense without having the pieces for it.

Kirby saw an NFL guy go to LSU and just basically said: I NERD THAT TOO, WOOF and copied the strategy.

Monken isn't the guy who shuts down MuLLLen's offense every year so this doesn't make sense.

And believe me we have the athletes to make the change work. If Grantham can be out coached by Coley, he can be out coached by Monken very easily.

Given that Mullen is averaging 12 points a game vs. Kirby and he has yet to beat a team that finishes ranked in the top 10 in his 11 seasons as a head coach id put money on Georgia.

We also didn't have Swift or Cager and Kearis Jackson, George Pickens and Blaylock all missed at least half the game.

Gee, amazing the folks like Straws completely ignore those facts.

He also predicted a 14pt Gator victory and now seems to be doing a victory lap because they kept the game close...it really wasn't.We left multiple points on the table

Man Georgia fans are retarded.

I'm just glad your Super Bowl is Florida because that's the ceiling for your season every year Kirby can't get it right.

I'm content that once Mullen gets his own players and can run his actual offense he will get better and things will improve.

In 2017 the Blue Chip percentage was 33%

Since Mullen has taken over it has climbed to 60% and climbs every year.

Counting transfers, Florida actually signed just as many 5-stars and more Blue Chips this season than Georgia.

The difference is Kirby had his team last year and still couldn't keep it within two possessions of LSU.
