Yeah and he tried his very best to bring one in. Also spending the most money on recruiting doesnt say "we just want the guys that want to be here"

Maybe hes turning a new leaf and means going forward. I doubt it. Its not a winning philosophy unfortunately.

Georgia should have had this change last year. Not this year.

We lost every starting every single receiver from '18 and our top returning WR.Our returning QB had top 5 QBR in '18 in almost the same offense we used in '19 and also returned one of the top RB's and you think '19 it was a good time to change the entire offense?

quote:

Your offense was built as a run first offense for about 3 years now

You've said this REPEATEDLY and it's patently absurd.Do you actually think we signed Pickens and Blaylock for their ability to run block? So do you actually believe the OL we signed the last 3 years aren't capable of pass blocking? Did you even watch the unit last year? They were FAR better at pass blocking compared to run blocking.

quote:

This is not good.

It's fine

quote:

who aren't accustomed to a dual-threat QB aren't going to be able to block him effectively if he starts scrambling around

It's the least of my worries on the OL.

quote:

Kirby saw an NFL guy go to LSU and just basically said: I NERD THAT TOO, WOOF and copied the strategy

Monken was the best available option and his hire was a no brainier.

Honostly dude,it's the same garbage every single off season with you. You said we were gonna suck in '18 after we lost Sony and Chubb and then you said how much we were gonna suck this year and you'd beat us by 14 pts and we had yet another UF victory,a top 5 finish along with a NY6 bowl victory with 11 starters missing

Do you ever get sick of being continually wrong about UGA year after year after year?

And the comment came after that, which shows he has learned to not bring them in anymore. They just aren’t worth it.

Its exactly what it says.It means he'll search anywhere to find the right players who'll fit in.

How is this number one class any better than other number one classes?

Our '19 senior class was ranked 6th and only 10 players were left last fall. They were replaced by a #1 class with 25+ players.Yea,it's kind of a big talent upgrade.

To say we're "standing still" is beyond laughable.

I commend you for your blind fandom. Thats just not how it is anymore. The better players wins 9/10. That philosophy doesnt equal two #1 classes in three years. Im not saying hes a terrible guy. Hes not doing anything different from any other top 10 programs. Just that statement sounds nice on paper but doesnt match up to the recruiting tactics displayed. Maybe hes referring to going forward and next cycle will be a different process. I doubt it.

Yeah okay sure. If that was actually his philosophy he wouldn't be pulling in the classes that he has. I give it to him hes a good salesman. That something people say just because it sounds nice. Theres not a coach in the top 25 on 247 that takes that philosophy. Get the best of the best or lose.

You're right about one thing. He's a great salesman.

After this statement his next offer to a top RB's folks isn't, "We need your son at all costs." It's, "We want talented, quality kids to build something, and we believe your son is one of them." It's not, "We let in everyone with talent." It's " We can turn away great backs, but we think you'll fit in and will be successful."

Passing on Evans makes the class less talented, but the press conference allows that decision to make next year's pitch even stronger.

ETA:
Right now, what wouldn't Mullen or Gus do to get Evans? Desperation has never been attractive.

Nah/ It is possible to find an elite group of recruits who aren’t shite heads. See our 2020 class.

I'm just glad your Super Bowl is Florida because that's the ceiling for your season every year Kirby can't get it right.

You’re projecting.

Smart has beaten UF 2017, 2018, 2019. Our focus is the playoffs & NCG. Meanwhile, UF can’t win the East. Bc UF can’t beat GA.

Smart doesn’t say anything about Florida. But muLLLen can’t keep his trap shut. Remember all that garbage last summer — attendance numbers & Fields’ transfer? How’d that work out for muLLLen? #1 recruit Steele transferred bc coaches ignored his warnings about QB Jalon Jones being a rapist. Both recruits gone. And muLLLen lost again in JAX.

Gator secondary was a weak spot this year. Think about that. Steele was a 5* DB. Would have been nice to have him, huh? That one’s on muLLLen & staff.

2020 muLLLen will be desperate to beat GA. Bc no excuses. And 4 Ls in a row would be catastrophic ... but he’s already got his plan to quell angry UF fans — fire Grantham. Why do you think there’s been all the talk about hiring Strong?

JAX is Florida’s Holy Grail. Not ours.

It's weird to say because of their class rankings but Florida and Tennessee are improving while Georgia is standing still.

Another objectively false statement. UGA's graduating class was not a top 5 group. Kirby's first top 3 headliner class is just now entering their senior year.

Again, if Monken can fix your offense while all of those pieces are moving around -- he should be Head Coach and Kirby should be replaced.

The head coach should be replaced because he makes a great hire? A hire you said he would never make? You are losing it man.
