Kirby Smart responds to question regarding his relationship with Dan Mullen

Question was asked of Kirby Smart...."What’s your relationship with Dan Mullen been like since he got to Florida?"
Answer:
‘I sit by him at every SEC meeting because ‘F’ and ‘G’ are alphabetized, side by side. So we get to sit and talk about things. When a topic comes up about, you know, whatever the conversation is, whether it’s some recruiting thing, some rules thing, we’re always sharing ideas. Everybody looks at it like, ‘how does it affect you?,’ ‘How does it affect me?’ ‘How does it affect him?’ We’re both the only SEC schools in our state, so sometimes we agree on certain things. I don’t get to see Dan a whole lot, even when he’s at the lake and I’m there. We’re both spending time with our families.’’
They sit by each other because they HAVE to...talk only when the conversation/subject calls for it....sharing ideas how to best drown the other...."sometimes agree on certain things" = they're quarreling 90% of the other time....at the lake Kirby's hoping Dan's boat springs a leak and he gets swallowed up by his own gator.

Who the hell would like Merlins? He’s the Tom Herman of the SEC. He’s an absolute prick who thinks he’s way smarter than he actually is.

Good comparison. I think Herman is way worse, though. His personality is gonna get him fired at Texas faster than he’d get fired if he had a normal human personality. Herman won’t survive past 2021 at Texas. Depending on how this season plays out, 2020 may be his last there.
And it couldn’t happen to a shitter human and couple than Tom Herman and his trashy wife who worked in the shadows to bring down Urban Meyer because a 18-year-old recruit chose OhioSt over Texas.
Winning football games is “really, really hard.” ...Correct Tom, but treating people with respect is really, really easy.

What does it matter if he likes Mullen or not.. I like the fact he doesn’t, frick’em! Why are people so worried about this?

If anybody ever gets Mullen a good recruiter who's happy to stay in Mullen's shadow, everybody else look out.

Why do all of these coaches have places in GA? I know Saban and one or two others are on Burton. Is there some tax benefit?
