Kirby and Excuse Making

Other boards have several threads on this topic.
What are your thoughts on Kirby blaming the Bama game and being more "woe is me" in recent years?
Whether it be the extra week in the playoffs or being banged up after a physical game.
Do you think he is getting soft and do you think the excuse making can trickle down to the players?
I'll hang up and listen

Probably not gonna be a popular take but being “tired” is a lame arse excuse. This is the first time that I can remember he dwelled on something Ike this all week. I knew something was up.

If the excuse is "It's on us as coaches. We didn't do our jobs all week.", I will agree.

I think Kirby knows more about motivating young men and winning Championships than anyone....

I saw the game on delay. I havent watched post game yet.
Are you saying that we aren't beat up going into the game?
Or that any excuse after a loss is wrong?

Are you saying you disagree with the OP?
Or that you condone excuses?

I believe Kirby was being honest. I've read that Georgia broke protocol and practiced some without pads this week, which would attest to what he said.
The fact that you led with your assertion that Kirby is making excuses suggests you aren't here to listen to opinions anyway. How many of those other boards did you start some variation of this topic?

I haven't seen press conferences yet.
It would be like giving an opinion on war and peace when I have neither watched or read it.

You don't have to watch the press conferences to answer my questions to your question that you asked to my question

You're weird.
And evasive.

They all make way too much money to play the fatigue card.

The lame arse semantic game isn't so fun when the rabbits got the gun, huh?
Carry on, boy

I think everyone changes, would be hard to remain as hungry as you are before B2B NCs. But I would not call him soft. I don’t think he was “excuse making”. Players make mistakes, games are lost, it happens. In addition, not every team can go undefeated.

I didn't listen to Kirby's comments but I doubt he was making an excuse or playing the fatigue card, just making an observation that the team was worn down and it played a role in their performance.
Making money doesn't stop people from getting worn down and tired. Georgia was coming off four conference games. Auburn was coming off a bye week. Auburn also had a bye preceding UGA last year while UGA was coming off Alabama and Kentucky. That was a tough game for Georgia too. Kirby should discuss the bye scheduling issue with Mr. Sankey.
I don't believe bye week scheduling is irrelevant, which is why I've previously noted that UGA is getting way more than our fair share of SEC opponents with a preceding bye week. We've had 9 of those over the 3 year interval of '24, '25, and '26 regular seasons. Auburn's had one, Vanderbilt's had two, Tennessee, South Car, Ole Miss, Miss St, Kentucky, Ark had three. The SEC average (# of SEC opponents with a preceding bye, 2024 through 2026) was 4.5, so we doubled it.

No way man, they all get paid now, so they can’t be affected by the grind of a long season. Trust these guys. Some of them played some ball in High School and know!

Kirby made it clear we beat ourselves and we did. Auburn played a good game but in the end we beat ourselves with too many mistakes.
So it's time to suck it up and get on with the rest of the season.
With Notre Dame, Texas, Alabama and Indiana also losing we are still in the hunt for the National Championship.

You really are a special one.
I watched Looney Toons. I know the reference.
I have zero clue why you are using it.
I asked an honest question. Twice.
What is your point with the gun/rabbit reference?
