I get the fatigue factor, but NFL teams don't use that excuse and they play 17 games and have about half the roster that college teams do. And all those 17 games are against elite teams; not SC school for the blind.

I think she heard someone else use it and gave it a try out of context.

What are your thoughts on Kirby blaming the Bama game and being more "woe is me" in recent years?

I just watched the press conference.

I didn't see where he blamed the Bama game. If I missed it, can you clip it?

"Woe is me"
I don't think that is the correct description. Kirby is definitely different. He has described himself as such. He mentioned Charlie Woerner having a significant impact on who he is as a man.

I think Kirby is a realist the past several years.
Football is hard.
Depth isn't what it used to be.
Welcome to NFL lite.

Do you think he is getting soft and do you think the excuse making can trickle down to the players?

As I said, Kirby is a realist.
If that is soft, I would like to see the hard man who chooses to say that to the player's faces.
I would like to examine that hard man's life to see how hard he truly is.

Kirby demands excellence from the players. Every day. Every way.
If you doubt that, listen to practice and his bull horn.
Watch the players cry on the sideline when they feel that they left their teammates down (knowing how hard the entire team presses during the week).

You're right.
We see nfl teams go 17 and 0 all of the time because the better team always wins.

Football is hard.
The other side has coaches and players too.

Georgia has obvious flaws.
And Auburn made enough plays needed to win.

Probably not gonna be a popular take but being “tired” is a lame arse excuse. This is the first time that I can remember he dwelled on something Ike this all week. I knew something was up.

Being tired, blaming refs, and blaming injuries are all lame arse excuses for losing.

NFL players do talk about the grind… a lot. They also have less contact in practice than in the past. Treatment stuff they have is good as well.

Every team feels the grind, so it is not an excuse for losing. Yet, if you throw in that we played an extra SEC game, had a bunch of dudes hurt and are a team that had to dial back on hitting practice because of this, I can 100% see where Smart was coming from. Also, when you get tired and beat up and frustrated, you are more prone to mistakes. Not sure if that played a factor, but it is a reality. Florida game, at least for us, was kinda the light at the end of the tunnel game. Back end of the season, cooler weather in practice. Helmet only practices most of the off week. And then a bunch of big games.
Hope this off week allows our guys to heal and get their heads right for Florida week practice.

We had 8 players in rotation that did not practice this past week.

We were beat up.
It happens.
How many times have we been beat up and won (and nothing gets said other than we should have covered)?

Tell me about your life? I suppose you are a self made Billionaire..... Never made a mistake or gotten tired .... Always the right decisions made airborne from your G650 as you travel with your trophy wife between Buckhead, Naples, Zermatt, and Aspen..... Chasing Marlin from a 73' Viking between Lion hunting on safaris....

You can’t have it both ways. Pick a lane already

Bobos play calling was fine but E lite yesterday

Gunner turnovers likely due to concussion and the D not tackling, Kirby’s coaching or lack there of on that botched FG cost us the game.

This was more on Kirby than anyone and of course his press conference he isn’t going to say himself. He is loyal to a fault and rarely says “I”

Offense, defense, special teams cost us the game.

Turnovers, penalties, time management cost us the game.

When you have the ball with 1 minute left for a chance to win the game, every little mistake cost the game. But none of them singularly cost us the game.

They burn a lot of fuel and the only thing worse than the rapid depreciation is the maint and upkeep costs. Plus, finding pilots and boat Captains is harder than ever. It is VERY difficult to own your own jets and sportys!!!

Kirby bad coach, we need good coach. It's a common theme from that account.

BREAKING NEWS: After their team loses, some fans nitpick the coach's postgame press conference and cherrypick a quote to latch onto, because they're already pissed and looking for something be get even more pissed about.

Why are you so hung up on a press conference?

Where do anyone mention a press conference ITT?

Why does everyone else in the thread know what I'm talking about except you and your gang of street toughs?

Why did you reply to the thread if you didn't know what I was talking about?

Do you always respond when ignorant on the topic?

If not, what led you to do it today?

I don't talk to Kirby personally.
I listen to him in press conferences.
If he blamed the loss on Bama, I am sure you can find it somewhere.

Maybe I'm an idiot.
If Kirby blamed Bama and everyone knows it, I am sure they can help you find the clip. I am sure it will be posted shortly. If everyone knows it.

I asked you 2 questions which you still haven't answered.
And when I did watch the press conference, I added information as I best understood it.

Why are you weird and evasive?

quote:

Are you saying that we aren't beat up going into the game?

Or that any excuse after a loss is wrong?

Is the ugly reality that all of college football needs to accept is that virtually every team is going to experience a couple of losses during the regular season and still have their entire set of goals ahead of them in the playoff?
