And DeBoer did. DeBoer is far from perfect and still has his own growing pains as a HC (people forget this is only his 5th season as a P4/P5 coach), but what Kiffin did tonight going for it deep in his own territory was a full on implosion. He struggles in big games (check his record) while DeBoer, despite his flaws, has a gaudy record.

In the end, Alabama made the right choice going for DeBoer over Kiffin.

I thought with that NIL budget and his coaching prowess that he was a sure thing for LSU.

More proof that these coaches and now players are making way more money than they should.

He's really just an okay HC. They used to say he keeps failing upwards. That still holds true. He finessed the hell out of LSU. He is who he is:

It's time LSU fans come to terms with this most salient truth.

Nicholas Lou Saban absolutely hates The University of LSU, and did his part in steering Kiffin to Baton Rouge. He knew exactly what he was doing and exactly what the outcome would be.

If darth pfizer really wanted to be darth visor he’d lay off the co-eds, social media, and hit the film room. Takes more than snarky tweets to be Steve spurrier

I have said it forever now. Kiffin is gonna Kiffin 2 or 3 games a year. He can’t help it.

They stole from a children’s hospital. But at least they let one of those kids wave a fire extinguisher around.

That is kinda what is being discussed here. Consensus is his "coaching prowess" is overrated af.

It wasn’t just this game. There were MANY reasons Lane didn’t get that phone call after he turned Auburn down. Saban told Byrne he didn’t need to be in charge of a program like Bama. Saban was wrong about his take on Lanning tho. He gave a rave review of him??

He's very good in a coordinator role. He can win big there, but he'll never win anything of significance as the head guy. He's too reckless and doesn't seem to know how to make the right decisions when put in a difficult spot.

CLK hired a great agent Sexton who makes him get more than he is worth.
