DeBoer is a very good coach and elite recruiter.

I did not want Kiffin when Saban retired and was relieved he wasn’t interviewed. But that’s primarily cause he wouldn’t have been a good culture fit with the brand of Alabama football.
Same. I also agree that he could do well at LSU.

Kiffin has a better record at a much shittier school

Deboer has a higher winning percentage at Alabama than Kiffin had at Ole Miss.

They're both good coaches. Watching Deboer at Washington, he reminded me A LOT of Sean Payton. Sometimes incredible offensive mind, who can occasionally get arrogant and will frick something up sooner or later. We saw that with the Texas game.

Kiffin, he's kinda Steve Spurrier. Brilliant, different, kinda a lovable arse. Will sometimes get in the other guy's head and beat him that way.
Will be interesting to see if he can take that final step at LSU.

I don't know if DeBoer is the guy for Alabama but I'm 100% certain that Kiffin at Bama would end like his USC tenure did.

We could have had Kiffin, we chose Kalen.

Kiffin never got a phone call from Alabama and he never will

Kiffin could actually make the LSU brand work for him, dude can fit with the Wild Cajun atmosphere better than Kelly ever could.

I'm not so sure about that. Kiffin doesn't have anything Cajun about him. And his only love will always be himself, not LSU. The bottom line is whether he can regularly get LSU into the CFP. Just two 8&4s or even 9&3s, and he'll be on the same hot seat Kelly was just on.

Hilarious to see the Bama responses knowing EVERY one of them hated DeBoer and wanted him gone between Aug. 30 and Sept. 27. EVERY one of those gumps.

A shockingly unbiased and good opinion from you. Well done. Let's not forget we didn't want him or he would be in Tuscaloosa right now

Kalen.

Too much drama with Kiffin. And it’s only going to get worse now that he is back at the helm of a major program

LSU could say the same thing about BK. They could have hired Kiffin but the AD hired BK cause character issues.

Both LSU and Alabama made an error in judgment. They’d rather have someone that’s not a scumbag personality than win games.

We're about to play for an SEC Championship and likely in the playoff after that.

Honestly? Kalen.

Can’t blame Kiffin for changing jobs though. LSU is a no brainer if you want to win a NC.

How sweet would it be for OM to win it without him and he never get one?
