They would have been stupid to allow Kiffin to stick around.

I'm glad that sanity will reign.
This is good for Ole Miss and despite being a fan of their bitter rival, I am happy for them.

If you knew how good it was, you'd go into your bathroom, lock the door, and say Hotty F****in Toddy. Then, you'd come out and yell, "GTHOM"

The whole thing is just dumb. They didn’t want an LSU coach to coach them in the playoffs because they thought that would be a conflict of interest. They literally just brought back an LSU coach to come and coach them in the playoffs. Whole thing is stupid. They just should’ve let him coach.

Lane would have gain experience while Ole Miss gain nothing.

Not if they would’ve lost their entire offensive staff. Thankfully, because of Kiffin, they won’t.

Him to leave?

Has there been a report on how the players reacted when they were given the news?

What on earth gave you the impression that Oxford is "classy". Those two words shouldn't be in the same sentence or even paragraph.

My guess is that everyone came into quick agreement once Disney walked in the room and threw some mind-blowing numbers on the table.

This is not that hard to figure out, people.

Kiffin wanted to stay for his own personal gain. He would have spent the entire month talking to players to recruit them to LSU, same with staff, recruits and everything else. Any success gets added to his accomplishments and constantly promoting LSU etc.

He was going to take as many coaches as he could/wanted no matter what. And as he has demonstrated in the past, his main focus isn't going to be on winning the NC, it's going to be on getting whatever he can for himself.

Letting him stick around is to no real benefit to Ole Miss. Given how much he's choked in big games in the past, they might be better off without him for a single game/few games.

LSU wouldn't be letting him coach if it was the other way around either. Nor should they.

Too funny. LSWho had an idiot AD that let Kiffin play him like a fiddle and get $94M plus LSWho will pay his buyout. Who's the idiot here?

All it proves is that it wasn’t about not letting coaches coach in the playoffs - it’s about Ole Miss not trusting that snake and him alone to not pull some shite

They probably started having prep for the playoffs and realized they had major regrets of the way things went. obviously Lane couldn’t come back at that point, but I’m glad they’re able to work it out where Weiss could.

They tried to kill he and his kids and kidnapped his dog.

They owe him nothing but thanks for loaning them a coach.
